Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers: Dec 23-25

Happy Holidays, to everyone except fantasy managers looking to pull a fast one to close out this week. the slate is light, VERY light. This one is going to be short and sweet. Heck, it would be best if you were celebrating, not reading this anyways… Obviously, I’m kidding, I am a slave to the clicks just like every content producer on the internet. And alas,  despite the lack of teams with two games between Friday and Sunday, options are still available.

Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers

NBA Fantasy Streamers is a weekly article put out by Fantrax to help Fantasy NBA managers chase down statistics in weekly league formats. All the players listed below play 2 games in three nights between Friday and Sunday, giving you the best opportunity to maximize their statistical output.

Teams With Two Games

BOS, DAL, DEN, LAL, MEM, MIL, NYK, PHI, PHX

De’Anthony Melton, G – Philadelphia 76ers | 90% rostered

Best Stats: STL, REB

Yes, Melton 90% owned across Fantrax leagues, but that is a misleading figure. Fantrax is a premium host to 20+ team leagues, something other fantasy platforms can’t provide. That being said, if you’re in a standard 10-12 team league there is a good chance Melton is available.  At 2.1 steals per game in 2022, he’s a must-have for managers looking for a late-week theft in the steals category.

Austin Reaves, G – Los Angeles Lakers | 41% rostered

Best Stats: 3PM, TBD

First off, he’s questionable for today’s tilt with the Hornets, so keep an eye on his status. That being said, if he’s healthy he is due to play big minutes with Anthony Davis sidelined. the lack of scoring for the Lakers is dire, and Reaves can score in bunches.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, G/F – Denver Nuggets | 67% rostered

Best Stats: 3PM, PTS

Caldwell-Pope isn’t as sought after in fantasy terms as his Denver back-court mates Bones Hyland, and Bruce Brown who are both 83%+ rostered on Fantrax. That isn’t to say he can’t serve a purpose on a roster.

Caldwell Pope has hit 2 or more threes in half of his last 10 games, including a 20-point, 4-threes outburst against the Hornets on Sunday.

Tyus Jones, G – Memphis Grizzlies | 59% rostered

Best Stats: AST |

Heading into the weekend without the greatest streaming options, Jones is the clear favorite in assists. At over four and a half dimes a game, his potential 10 assists over two games could be the difference in any league.

Immanuel Quickley, G – New York Knicks | 66% rostered

Best Stats: PTS, 3PM

Who is the flavor of the week at guard for the Knicks? It could just be Quickley’s time to shine. His success may be dependent on the availability or lack-there-of, of breakout guard, Quentin Grimes.

In a losing effort in Toronto Wednesday, Quickley hit 6 threes across 34 minutes and should remain an offensive focal point if Grimes remains sidelined. If not, Grimes is another solid streaming option, and only 60% rostered.

Torrey Craig, F – Phoenix Suns | 41% rostered

Best Stats: TBD

Not sure what stats Craig plans to bring to the table this weekend. He’s like the wildcard relative who shows up to Christmas dinner, and you’re unsure if they brought their designated dish or even a single present.

That being said, over his last ten games he’s had a 12-rebound effort, two nights with four three-pointers made, and dished out 3 or more assists on four separate occasions.

It’s relatively certain he will do something marginally significant statistically over the weekend, but forecasting what, and how many isn’t something anyone should attempt to postulate.
