As 2022 comes to an end, the Fantasy NBA season is in full swing. Much like Christmas weekend, New Years’ weekend offers a fairly light slate with only 12 teams playing two games in three nights.
Managers can often benefit from what streamers bring at the end of a fantasy week, but this might be a good week to hold onto players who have full-time rosterable potential, rather than reach for a streamer.
Fantasy Basketball Weekend Streamers
NBA Fantasy Streamers is a weekly article put out by Fantrax to help Fantasy NBA managers chase down statistics in weekly league formats. All the players listed below play 2 games in three nights between Friday and Sunday, giving you the best opportunity to maximize their statistical output.
Teams With Two Games
CHI, DEN, DET, MEM, MIA, MIL, MIN, NOP, PHI, SAC, UTA, WAS
Rui Hachimura, F – Washington Wizards | 48% rostered
Best Stats: PTS, REB
After missing over a month of action Rui Hachimura has returned to the court for the Wizards, and with his scoring touch. Since his return, the fourth-year man out of Gonzaga is averaging 18 points per game to go along with 4.5 boards.
Naz Reid, C – Minnesota Timberwolves | 50% rostered
Best Stats: REB, PTS, BLK
Naz Reid went bonkers in the starting role scoring 28, and 27 points across a three-game span, while pulling down 8 boards per. He has since been relegated back to the bench but has seen an uptick in minutes due to his effectiveness.
Over his last three games in a bench role, Reid is averaging 16 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks across 26.5 minutes of action. Even with two of the best bigs in the game starting in front of him, it seems Reid has slowly carved out the biggest role off the bench for the struggling Timberwolves.
Brandon Clarke, F – Memphis Grizzlies | 82% rostered
Best Stats: STL, REB
Yes, being rostered across 82% of leagues isn’t ideal, but if you’re playing in a standard 10 or 12-team league, Clarke should be readily available.
Most fantasy managers who drafted Clarke in any of the past few years would say he’s been a disappointment. That is almost entirely due to his limited minutes off the bench for Memphis. Clarke isn’t likely to ever put up gaudy scoring numbers but with two games this weekend he could bag 4 steals and 16 rebounds, which could be useful for any fantasy squad.
Naji Marshall, F – New Orleans Pelicans | 31% rostered
Best Stats: REB, PTS
With Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, and Brandon Ingram all likely to miss action this weekend Marshall is due to see a lot of the court. He hasn’t proven to be elite or even great at anything in particular, but he did score 17 and 22 on back-to-back nights, including a 4 three-pointer made outing against the Pacers on Monday.
Best options for Assists
Monte Morris, G – Washington Wizards | 80% rostered
Nah’Shon (Bones) Hyland, G – Denver Nuggets | 77% rostered
Delon Wright, G – Washington Wizards | 28% rostered
Ayo Dosunmu, G – Chicago Bulls | 54% rostered
