Shane Morris, Central Michigan —

After losing the starting job at Michigan to Wilton Speight, Shane Morris decided to transfer to Central Michigan for his final year of eligibility. While Morris’ transfer announcement did not make too many headlines this offseason, his performance against Kansas this past weekend did. A 467-yard and five-touchdown performance by the grad transfer has turned the heads of many fantasy owners. Central Michigan’s weak schedule makes Morris a hot add this week.
Kasim Hill, Maryland —

Tyrrell Pigrome’s coming-out party was a sign of things to come for Maryland’s recently poor offense. Unfortunately for the Terps, Pigrome is out for the season with a torn ACL. However, Kasim Hill held the reins against Texas for one drive and took the ball up the field and scored. Hill was a four-star prospect coming out of high school and lost a heated battle against Pigrome for the starting job just before the season started. A stellar first start for Hill on top of having DJ Moore and Ty Johnson at his disposal sets expectations high for the true freshman out of DC.
Brian Lewerke, Michigan State —

[the_ad id=”384″]Brian Lewerke is off to a somewhat impressive start in his first season as the starter for the Spartans. Although his competition hasn’t been the strongest, Lewerke showed promise as a fantasy option by scoring three times in both contests and turning the ball over once. If Lewerke is available in your league, snag him in case his game translates well to tougher competition.
Running Back
David Montgomery, Iowa State —

David Montgomery has established himself as the top back for the Cyclones this season with his carries increasing in each game he participated in. In a high-scoring game against in-state rival Iowa, Montgomery rushed for 112 and a touchdown while adding 53 yards on five receptions. Iowa’s defense is certainly better than most Big 12 defenses, which makes Montgomery an interesting addition to any fantasy team.
Warren Ball, Akron —

After a lackluster 2016 campaign, Warren Ball really stepped up his game against Arkansas Pine-Bluff this past weekend. Ball accounted for 146 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns on 20 carries. Ball has a high ceiling against weaker defenses and is worth the add in deeper leagues.
Jonathan Taylor, Nebraska —

Jonathan Taylor is just phenomenal. As the lead back for the Wisconsin Badgers, Taylor has rushed for 310 yards and four touchdowns in two games on 35 total carries. He is currently averaging more than five yards a carry, and it seems as though he is the next great back for the Wisconsin Badgers. Grab him up now because there is no way his ownership is this low again this season.
Wide Receivers
DJ Moore, Maryland —

Even with the turnover at quarterback, DJ Moore continues to shine for Maryland this season with 230 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Moore has 14 receptions through two games and could be seeing more after the bye week, when they take on Central Florida before Big Ten competition picks up.
James Gardner, Miami (Oh) —

James Gardner has quietly amassed 228 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in the first two weeks of the season. Gardener goes up against weaker competition for the rest of the season (with the exception of Notre Dame), and his production has been fairly consistent. Snatch him up before the less dedicated fantasy owners catch wind of him.
