Fantasy Football 2022: Week 18 Wide Receiver Rankings

Week 18 is one of the hardest weeks to put together some wide receiver rankings. You’re going to have to make that decision to bench one of your starts if that team has already clinched a playoff spot.

Mike Evans definitely won some leagues last week, but if your championship round rolls into Week 18, then Evans won’t be a great start this week. But teams fighting for a playoff spot like Detroit, Green Bay, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee all have great options to plug in.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax this season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune next season.

Wide Receiver Notes:

  • Let’s start with Amon-Ra St. Brown as my WR6 on the week. The Lions are one win and a Seahawks loss away from making the playoffs. The thing is the Lions are on the road against the Packers, who are also fighting for a playoff spot. Also, Jared Goff has been terrible on the road. But, I still have faith that this will be a high-scoring game. St. Brown has been quiet as of late, but if the Lions want to make the playoffs, he will need to show up. I expect the Lions to be down during the game, so that means more passing and more of a chance for St. Brown to score.
  • Let’s talk about Evans as my WR36. I would bench Evans this week. The Buccaneers won their division, but with an 8-8 record, they can’t move up in seeding or down. So, no matter the outcome of their Week 18 matchup, they are locked in as the four seed. There is no point in them playing their starters this week. They may play them for a quarter, which is why I still have Evans on my top 50. There is a chance he could score a touchdown, but if the Buccaneers are smart, he does not play more than two series.
  • Christian Kirk is my WR18 and will be a league winner this week. Jacksonville is leading the division and will clinch the four seed with a win over Tennessee this week. Tennessee has the worst-ranked fantasy defense against wide receivers this season. So I expect Kirk to have another field day this week. The Jaguars need this win, and Kirk will be a huge part of it.
  • Lastly, I have DK Metcalf as my WR10 this week. The Seahawks need to win to lock in the seven seed. They have the Rams this week, who are eliminated and really have nothing to play for. The Rams have dealt with so many injuries, I don’t see the point in them risking more starters to get hurt. So, I expect Metcalf to have a field day against the Rams’ secondary, who should be their second-string lineup. Though, I could see the Rams playing to win, just to keep Seattle out of the playoffs. Either way, I see Metcalf redeeming himself after last week’s game.
