Week 5 is here and that means another round of RB rankings from yours truly. It has been hard knowing who to start at the RB slot each week. Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara, and Najee Harris have all been underperforming. But, don’t worry the season is still young. And you have me to help secure your lineup this week. If you’re worried about starting Jeff Wilson Jr. or Ezekiel Elliott, the answer is in my Week 5 RB Rankings.
Let’s not keep you waiting and let’s talk about some key players for the week.+
Running Back Notes:
- The answer to your question about Elliott or Wilson, the answer is Wilson. Elliot has the Rams this week who is the toughest defense against fantasy running backs, giving up just 12 fantasy points per game. Wilson has the Panthers who are giving up just under 20 fantasy points per game.
- Harris drops to RB20 for Week 5. The Steelers have the Bills this week, and I don’t see the Steelers offensive line holding them. Kenny Pickett is interesting, however, Harris could see some more dump-offs or could see more touches if the passing game doesn’t pop off.
- Dameon Pierce jumps up to RB15 this week. Pierce had a huge game last week totaling 131 rushing yards and a touchdown. This week the Texans take on the Jaguars. The Jaguars are giving up 22 fantasy points to running backs this season. I expect Pierce to keep the train moving.
- Miles Sanders has been unbelievable this year. I have him ranked at RB16 against the Cardinals. Arizona has no defensive pressure and Sanders will get his goal line touches. Philadelphia in a blowout this week.
- Lastly, I have Chase Edmonds at RB43. I know Edmonds has snagged some touchdowns the last couple of weeks. But, he is getting out-snapped by Raheem Mostert. This is Mostert’s backfield while he is healthy. Don’t go and start Edmonds since he snagged that touchdown last week.
