Fantasy Football 2022: Week 7 RB Rankings

Week 7 is here and that means another round of RB rankings from yours truly. The Week 7 bye doesn’t hurt as much this week. But, Dalvin Cook finally had a good game and now is on a bye, and the same with Miles Sanders. Sanders has been outstanding this season, but if you have one of these two, I’m sure you need to fill your RB slot with a bench or waiver player.

But, don’t worry this RB rankings list will be your cheat sheet for setting your lineup. This list can be used on who to pick up off waivers or which bench player you need to plug into your lineup.

Running  Notes:

  • Rhamondre Stevenson almost breaks my top five this week. But, is still in the top 10 as my RB6. I have been waiting for Stevenson to get his shot and once he did, he hasn’t disappointed. In his last two games as the workhorse, he has 18.5 and 23.1 fantasy points. In those two games, he has 237 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This week he has the Bears, who are giving up the seventh most fantasy points to running backs this season. Stevenson could easily be an RB2 start every week going forward.
  • Kenneth Walker III had all the hype and he backed it up with his first start. I have him as my RB12 this week against the Chargers. The Chargers are giving up the fourth most fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Walker has shown he can be a workhorse with a combined 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns in his last two games. This is Walker’s backfield and is sure to go off against this weak defense this week.
  • Dameon Pierce is back this week and has a great matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. This game should be close and Pierce will get his carries. I have him as my RB14 this week. Pierce is on a three-game touchdown streak and I expect him to continue it this week. This will be a high-scoring game, which means more touches.
  • Brian Robinson Jr. is back and looked solid in his second game this season. He scored a touchdown and had 17 attempts for 60 yards. Antonio Gibson only had five carries. This is Robinson’s backfield and he is a must-add in every league. He has a middle-tier matchup against the Packers this week. But, he is getting the touches and touches will lead to touchdowns.
  • Lastly, I have Kenyan Drake as my RB38. One spot ahead of his teammate J.K Dobbins. Dobbins has a concerning injury with his knee tightening up last week. Coming off an ACL injury. Drake came in and dominated. The Ravens need a running back, and Drake could be the number one for the rest of the year.
