Another week down in the fantasy books and now we move on to Week 11 along with another round of RB rankings. Last week was an interesting week for running backs. Jahmyr Gibbs, Brian Robinson Jr. and Devin Singletary were the top three scoring running backs. No one predicted that as a top three.
But, as for some good news, Najee Harris and Bijan Robinson are starting to show why you drafted them in the first three rounds. Harris finished with 17.1 fantasy points and Robinson with 17.1 as well.
Running Back Notes
- Let’s start with Rachaad White as my RB16 against the 49ers. Since Week 7, White has looked like the steal of the draft. In those four games, his scores have been 12.9, 14.4 25.9 and 16.8. I assume he is an RB2 or flex position on your team. Those numbers are elite coming from an RB2 or flex play. He has been active in the passing game totaling 19 receptions in his last four games. The 49ers are a tougher defense when it comes to running backs, but since White can catch the ball as well, it makes him an easy start this week.
- Harris and his teammate Jaylen Warren have come alive in the last couple of weeks. I have Harris as my RB22 and Warren as my RB26. Harris was looking like a bust at the beginning of the season. But, since his Week 6 bye, he has been more active. It might be because Warren was starting to steal the job and it opened up looks for Harris. Either way, Harris is back to being a starter in fantasy leagues. He has finished in the top 15 in three out of his four games since the bye week.
- Keaton Mitchell has had two explosive games and jumps to my RB30 against the Bengals. Since being healthy he has played two full games and has 172 rushing yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns. The only downside is his carry volume. Gus Edwards is still getting about 50% of the snaps and Mitchell and Justice Hill are splitting the other 50%. However, with Mitchell going off the last two weeks on minimal carries, it is a good sign he will get more volume in the coming weeks. I’d add and stash Mitchell for the playoffs.
- Lastly, I have Kareem Hunt as my RB33 for Week 11. Hunt has scored a touchdown in five consecutive games but has yet to go over 60 rushing yards on the season. He has the Steelers this week who are one of the worst defenses in the league against fantasy running backs. Jerome Ford is still getting the majority of the snaps as he is on the field 64% of the time while Hunt is at 34%. Hunt has just been a beast in the red zone. However, he is not getting any work in the passing game, which is one of his strong suits. If you need a win this week, I’d be hesitant to start Hunt as he will probably only get 10-12 fantasy points this week.
