Fantasy Football 2023: Week 14 Quarterback and Tight End Sleepers and Streamers

Once again, we are in the midst of an exciting NFL season. Now begins the process of setting the best lineup possible in hopes of nailing down a playoff spot. Each week, we have you covered as we go through options at both the quarterback and tight end positions. Let us dig into some Week 14 Quarterback Sleepers and Streamers along with some Week 14 Tight End Sleepers and Streamers.

Week 14 Quarterback Sleepers and Streamers

Quarterback Sleepers

Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns

Considering Joe Flacco just joined the Cleveland Browns, his debut turned out pretty well. Alright, maybe not pretty well since the Browns were handily defeated by the Los Angeles Rams, but things could have been worse. After all, Flacco did throw for 254 yards and two touchdowns, so there was decent fantasy production in play.

Heading into Week 14, Flacco now has another full week of practice with Cleveland under his belt. Introductions have been made, and things should go even better for Flacco. Part of the reason for that, is a favorable matchup against a Jacksonville team that struggles against opposing quarterbacks this season.

Joshua Dobbs, Minnesota Vikings

Four interceptions is not going to get you very far. Joshua Dobbs didn’t enter Minnesota’s bye week on a positive note, but the good news is that he retains the starting job. What is even better, is the fact that Justin Jefferson will likely be back this week. Jefferson’s return gives Dobbs one of the best weapons in the game to work with as he attempts to bounce back.

It is now three straight weeks in which Dobbs has one touchdown pass since joining the Vikings. What has propped his fantasy value though, is that in two of those weeks, Dobbs has added a second touchdown on the ground. It is a solid piece of Dobbs’ fantasy value. The thought process here is that having the bye week to reset will be productive.

Quarterback Streamers

Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals

Given the state of the quarterback position, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that Jake Browning is back as one of our sleepers and streamers. All Browning did last week was put an end to a lot of survivor hopes by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Browning threw for 354 yards and a touchdown while completing 86.5% of his passes. While we can’t bank on this every week, Browning added a second touchdown on ground as he gained 22 yards on two carries. The big takeaway here is that the Bengals truly leaned on Browning and let him take advantage of the plethora of skill position players at his disposal. Having Joe Mixon to establish the run game helps, but we can’t overstate the impact of Ja’Marr Chase and his fellow receivers.

In facing the Colts this week, Browning has a solid matchup, and you can turn to him again this week.

Gardner Minshew, Indianapolis Colts

Let’s stay in the same game and look across the field at Gardner Minshew. The Colts’ quarterback should be no stranger to this space as he has been a viable sleeper and streamers option at times over the last two years.

Minshew broke the 300-yard passing mark last week for the third time this season. He finished with 312 yards and two touchdowns and there is a clear chemistry with Michael Pittman. In facing the Bengals, Minshew has one of the better matchups of the week, and that is something he can capitalize on.

Week 14 Tight End Sleepers and Streamers

Tight End Sleepers

Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After talking up Cade Otton over the past few weeks, we were disappointed in Week 13. Because Otton wasn’t targeted at all, that is an understatement.

Otton has a good matchup this week against an Atlanta team that has allowed 705 receiving yards on 73 catches to tight ends so far this season. Tight ends only have three touchdowns against the Falcons, but let’s not get too greedy as we are simply looking for some volume.

Tyler Conklin, New York Jets

Recommending anyone from the New York Jets might seem a little crazy these days, but there is some logic here. Zach Wilson will be back under center for the Jets this week, so we should see a slight improvement. Despite the results, Conklin has proven to be a valuable piece of the Jets receiving attack. Even if it is due to a lack of other options, Conklin was targeted nine times last week. The problem though, is that he turned it into just three receptions for 35 yards.

Tight End Streamers

Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens

Having Trey McBride on bye this week sent me straight to the waiver wire and the potential of Isaiah Likely. Following Mark Andrews’ injury, Likely has the tight end job all to himself in Baltimore. The Ravens are coming off their own bye, having the time to reset atop the depth chart should be a positive for Likely.

In Week 12, Baltimore did target Likely six times. In his first starting opportunity of the season, Likely did turn that into four receptions for 40 yards. At the least, Likely should have a similar workload this week. The upside though, is here, as the Rams are in the top five for fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends.

Chigoziem Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans

I feel like Chigoziem Okonkwo has taken up a permanent residence within our sleepers and streamers, but it is for good reason. Expectations were high months ago, and while that is very much out the window, the underlying reasons for those thoughts still exist.

Last week, Tennessee looked Okonkwo’s way six times, and he turned that into three receptions for 62 yards. The Titans figure to be trailing pretty quickly this week against the Miami Dolphins, so that should translate into a few downfield looks for Okonkwo.
