Just eight more games are left in the fantasy football regular season. Now, here come the bye weeks, which is why benches are drafted. A total number of six teams are on a bye in Week 7. Adjustments need to happen. Players you would not think of starting will be making an appearance in your lineup this upcoming week.
The wide receiver sleepers and streamers below are the players that can range from five points to exploding 20 points. The point is to play them without expecting much but hoping for the most. Here are Week 7’s sleepers and streamers for wide receivers.
Week 7 Wide Receiver sleepers and streamers
Wide Receiver sleepers
Rashee Rice vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Rashee Rice is slowly becoming the WR1 for the Kansas City Chiefs. The top option to watch on the Chiefs is the obvious answer, Travis Kelce. Kelce is the undisputed top option in Kansas City, but someone needs to step up as teams will just focus on number 87.
First of all, Rashee Rice has taken the WR1 crown from anyone on the Chiefs who thought they were the WR1. Also, he is averaging the most YPG (yards per game) amongst all receivers on the Chiefs. To make things better, Rice also has the most catches amongst all receivers on the Chiefs as well. With that being said, the Chargers are the next opponent for the Chiefs. All in all, Rashee Rice has paved the way to be a viable asset for Patrick Mahomes.
Furthermore, with plenty of byes in Week 7, Rice is my favorite receiver out of all sleepers and streamers. Lastly, the Chargers allow the most ppg to the receiver position through five weeks pending MNF (Monday Night Football).
Jameson Williams @ Baltimore Ravens
The debut of this player is on sleepers and streamers. Jameson Williams has come back from suspension. Sam LaPorta and Amon-Ra St. Brown are the top two options for the Lions. With that being said, not enough eyes with single coverage will be on Williams. Williams caught a touchdown in Week 6. Now, he gets a Ravens team that will focus on the star playmakers as they do every week.
Williams is a perfect sleeper with the upside of 15-plus points in Week 7. Start him with receivers like Garrett Wilson, Nico Collins, and DeAndre Hopkins on a bye in Week 7.
Wide Receiver streamers
Jakobi Meyers @ Chicago Bears
First things first, Jakobi Meyers is one of the best values from fantasy drafts this off-season. Meyers was drafted as the WR53. Jakobi Meyers is currently the WR14 in total points and the WR12 in ppg. Now, Meyers gets a matchup against the Chicago Bears. This Bears team is giving up the 13th most ppg to the position as well.
All in all, after this week, Meyers will become a weekly start. He has been a flex play at most or been on fantasy benches. Why? The presence of Davante Adams can do that, but Meyers has been outplaying Adams. It is clear there are three passing options on the Raiders not including Josh Jacobs and Meyers has the potential to lead the team in fantasy points in 2023.
Jakobi Meyers has gone from being viewed as a bench stash, to being a streamer on sleepers and streamers, to becoming a lineup lock after his masterclass performance in Week 7.
Hollywood Brown @ Seattle Seahawks
The Arizona Cardinals have one of the worst records in the NFL but play hard every single week. Hollywood Brown was thought to be lost this season with Joshua Dobbs under center. Brown has been an amazing streaming option practically every week. He has seen 10 or more targets in three consecutive weeks.
Also, there are not many passing options in Arizona. James Conner also being hurt will force Dobbs to throw more. With a Week 7 match-up against the Seahawks who are giving up the third most ppg to the position. Brown is seeing a 27% target share through six games and is in a prime spot to deliver another double-digit outing. Sleepers and streamers are about finding the edge and the potential upside. All in all, Start Brown in your WR2 with the plethora of byes and dominate Week 7.
