Fantasy Football 2024: Week 11 RB Rankings

Week 11 brings some intriguing questions to my RB rankings. Will Nick Chubb ever be the same? Is the Tank Bigsby saga over in Jacksonville? And will Christian McCaffrey finish as the RB1 for the rest of the season?

If you drafted McCaffrey, you can finally breathe after last week’s performance. He didn’t have huge numbers, but the main thing is he looked like himself. He only had 13 carries, but he did have six receptions. Come next week he should be getting his normal workload. Let’s get some further insight when my RB notes are below.

Running Back Notes

  • Let’s start with Jonathan Taylor as my RB10. Taylor has been frustrating this year, but it isn’t his fault. He has been getting snaked on many touchdowns this year from Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson. Taylor had 114 rushing yards last week but only scored 13.2 fantasy points. The Colt’s offense has not been fluid aside from Taylor. But, this week he has the Jets. The Jets have not looked good on the defense the last few weeks giving up 106 rushing yards to Joe Mixon and 147 total rushing yards to the Cardinals last week. This is the week Taylor pops off, and if he doesn’t he could be worth trading. If this Colts offense can’t get running, then I don’t see Taylor as a valuable fantasy option.
  • Next, I have Chase Brown as my RB13 against the Chargers. It looks like Brown will be that guy for the Bengals for the rest of the season. Even though he has a tough matchup against the Chargers this week, I still suspect him to get around 17 fantasy points. He is the only one who is going to get touches and he gets targeted a ton out of the backfield. He has 16 targets in his last two weeks. This will be a high-scoring game and I believe the Bengals can put up numbers on this Chargers team.
  • Lastly, I have James Cook down as my RB19 against the Chiefs. The Chiefs are the number one defense against the run this year. Josh Allen is such a threat to Cook and Ray Davis has not been going away. I just don’t like this matchup, and I think the Chiefs shut down this offense. Allen can’t move the ball with all his receivers hurt and the Chiefs have been playing winning football. The Bills looked sloppy against the Colts who are nowhere near the Chiefs level. I would bench Cook this week.
