Fantasy Football 2024: Week 17 RB Rankings

As we roll into my Week 17 RB rankings, we enter the championship round for most leagues. So, if you ever need help, this is the time to check out these rankings. Injuries are starting to pile up toward the end of the season, but it looks like James Conner could play this week. However, there are streamer options for this week. Players like Jerome Ford, Tyjae Spears, and Rhamondre Stevenson are great options this week. Those are just a few players that jumped up in my rankings this week. Be sure to check the rest of my rankings below.

Running Back Notes

  • Let’s start with Bucky Irving as my RB9 against the Panthers. The Buccaneers are in a must-win game as they are tied with the Falcons for first place. The Panthers are giving up the most fantasy points per game to RBs this season at 27.3. This is great news for Irving. He has scored three touchdowns in the last five weeks. He is also outscoring Rachaad White in those five weeks 81.5 fantasy points to 64. Granted Irving got hurt in the first quarter of Week 14. He is a must-start against the Panthers this week.
  • Let’s talk about Spears as my RB23 against the Jaguars. The Jaguars are giving up the second most fantasy points per game to RBs at 24.7. This is a great matchup for Spears as he has been on a tear in back-to-back weeks. Spears is still a bit of a risk as he only has 14 carries in those two games. As well as just 11 targets. But, he has four total touchdowns in those two games. The Good news is in those two games Spears had six carries and three targets in the red zone. While Tony Pollard had four carries and zero targets. It is clear Spears is the red zone guy and that is where all his touchdowns are coming from.
  • Lastly, let’s talk about Najee Harris as my RB31 against the Chiefs. He is going against the top fantasy defense this week and as of late Harris has been ineffective in his last few weeks. In his last two games, he had six carries in Week 15 and nine carries in Week 16. Versus him averaging 16 carries in his last three games. Another thing to note is in his last two games he only scored a total of 6.8 fantasy points. He also went against the Eagles and the Ravens. Both of which are top-10 defenses against the run.
