Fantasy Football 2024: Week 3 Wide Receiver Rankings

This was a tough week for Cooper Kupp and Deebo Samuel owners. A.J. Brown is another one who will miss a few weeks but was ruled out before his Week 2 matchup. So, if you have any of these players you are going to want to see these Week 3 wide receiver rankings.

We learned a lot after Week 2. Marvin Harrison Jr. showed what he could do, Chris Godwin is back to his Super Bowl season self and Ja’Marr Chase is nowhere to be found. Chase has 14.7 fantasy points through two games and the Bengals are 0-2. Week 3 could be a make-or-break week for Chase on the bust meter. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are others who could be in trouble going forward as Tua Tagovailoa went on the IR for his concussion.

WR Notes

  • Nico Collins is my WR4 this week and this is the first time he hits inside the top five for me. He looks like he is going to have a career year. He has 252 yards on 14 catches and one touchdown. He is the target leader of the Texans and I believe they are going to lean heavily on him this week if Joe Mixon doesn’t suit up.
  • DeVonta Smith is going to be a must-start each week A.J. Brown is out. Smith has 14 receptions on 18 targets through two games. He also turned those 14 receptions into 160 yards and a touchdown. This week the Eagles have the Saints who despite dominating their first two games are still giving up 27 fantasy points to wide receivers per game. I expect the Eagles to bounce back this week and put some points on the board after their last-minute loss to the Falcons on Monday night.
  • Garrett Wilson drops to my WR16 this week. I do believe Wilson will have some big games this year, but they will be spotty. Through the Jet’s first two games, the offense has been run through Breece Hall. It was a bright sight last week to see Aaron Rodgers throw times compared to his 21 attempts in Week 1. Wilson is a flex option this week until I see Rodgers build a consistent connection with Wilson.
  • Amari Cooper is my WR27 this week and even though he is playing the Giants, I would strongly recommend benching him. Cooper is getting the targets but only has five receptions on his 17 targets. And on top of that, he only has 27 receiving yards. Deshaun Watson has yet to throw over 200 passing yards. Watson did look better in Week 2, but that isn’t saying much after his Week 1 performance. Until I see Watson start to look decent, I would bench Cooper until Jameis Winston gets the start.
