Fantasy Football 2024: Week 4 RB Rankings

Saquon Barkley is back to what he does best and that is scoring a lot of fantasy points. Going into my Week 4 RB rankings, he is standing at the top of my rankings and no one is close to taking the top spot. As we get into Week 4 we are starting to see what RBs will be true starts the rest of the season.

Rachaad White looked like he would finish in the top 10, but after the last couple of weeks, it looks like he could lose his job to Bucky Irving. On the other hand, players like Derrick Henry and Kyren Williams who had us pressing the panic button, look like they will be just fine the rest of the season.

Running Back Notes

  • Jonathan Taylor jumps to RB4 this week against the Steelers. The Steeler’s defense is ranked as the second-best against the run. But, I saw a lot I liked from Taylor last week. Not only did he score twice and put up 110 rushing yards. He also had 23 carries. In Week 1 he had 16 and in Week 2 he had 12. Yet, he is still averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Now that Anthony Richardson is not looking great throwing the ball, I suspect the Colts are going to run through their star in Taylor. He is explosive enough to go off against any defense if he is given the work.
  • Aaron Jones makes the top 15 as my RB14 this week. Jones has looked good this season besides his Week 2 performance. I think people forgot how good Jones is because he was hurt last year. What makes Jones so special this week and going forward is that he has been active in the passing game. Through three games he has 12 receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown. This week he has the Packers and we all know how these former team games go.
  • Bucky Irving is my RB29 this week and though he has not started yet. He is a good RB to have on your roster. He is slowly inching closer to splitting the backfield with White. Through three weeks Irving has 25 carries for 154 yards. That is 6.2 yards per carry. He is efficient and if he keeps this up, I expect him to take over the starting RB spot.
  • Lastly, I would bench Zamir White as he is my RB36 against the Browns. I don’t see Zamir White getting the work this week. Last week Zamir White was only on the field for 14 snaps versus Alexander Mattison playing 28 snaps. And it is Mattison who has back-to-back games with a touchdown while Zamir White has not seen the end zone. He is a must-sit this week and could be droppable going forward.
