Fantasy Football 2024: Week 7 RB Rankings

A lot of moving around is going on as we roll into my Week 7 RB rankings. Tank Bigsby is looking like he could take over the Jaguars backfield along with Ray Davis and Bucky Irving showing the same signs for their respective teams. And it is sad to say that players who started hot like Travis Etienne Jr. and James Conner could be losing their touches.

A Lot can change from the start of the season. At the beginning of the season, it looked like D’andre Swift was a huge bust and now he is looking like a top RB. So it is crucial to keep up with these running back rankings as things will change game by game.

Running Back Notes

  • Let’s start with Conner as my RB28 against the Chargers. All signs point to benching Conner this week. The first sign is usage. Conner was only on the field for 28% of the snaps last week, while Emari Demercado was on the field for 53% and Trey Benson saw 19%. This looks bad for Conner owners as he is losing his touches week by week. The next sign is they have the Chargers this week who are great against the run. They are only giving up 14.7 fantasy points per game to RBs this season. This week looks terrible for Conner and his future is looking questionable.
  • Tony Pollard is my RB11 this week against the Bills. Pollard has been one of the only bright spots in the Titans offense. Their passing game is terrible, but Pollard has made up their offense on the rushing side. He has only scored under 10 fantasy points just once this season and has three top-15 RB finishes this year. The Bills just gave up 113 rushing yards to Breece Hall last week, after Hall had been in a huge slump. I expect Pollard to have a huge game this week.
  • Lastly, I have Bigsby as my RB20. Etienne will most likely be out this week and Bigbsy is set up for another huge week. He has a great matchup against the Patriots this week who are giving up 24.9 fantasy points per game to RBs. All signs point to Bigbsy having a huge week, but be weary of his fumbling problem and his inconsistencies. He has a fumble in back-to-back games. But, this will be his first true test if he can manage close to 18 rushing attempts. On the year he is averaging 7.2 yards per carry on 41 attempts. He has shown he can produce with limited attempts, but we will need to see if he can produce as the lead back. He should be a flex start this week.
