Fantasy Football 2024: Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings

As we roll into my Week 7 wide receiver rankings, a lot of moving around has happened in the wide receiver room. Davante Adams is reuniting with Aaron Rodgers and Amari Cooper is teaming up with Josh Allen. Both Adams and Cooper have been unimpressive this season. But, now their stock could skyrocket as they both have much better quarterbacks throwing to them now.

On top of some wide receivers getting traded, a few injuries happened that could land some top receivers out for Week 7. Chris Olave is unlikely to play Thursday night with a concussion and Marvin Harrison Jr. also left last week with a concussion.

Wide Receiver Notes

  • Let’s start with Garrett Wilson, who is my WR20. Wilson is finally starting to get hot as he has back-to-back weeks scoring over 20 fantasy points. Now, Davante Adams will join the team, but I think this will make Wilson an even better fantasy option. It is unlikely Adams will play this week as the Jets take on the Steelers. Since the Jets have the Steelers, this is why Wilson falls to my WR20 despite his hot streak. The Steeler’s defense is top notch and they are only giving up 23.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Wilson is a WR2 or flex option this week.
  • Terry McLaurin jumps up to my WR10 this week. Since Week 3 McLaurin has three touchdowns and 317 yards. He is the clear number one target and looks to be Jayden Daniels’s favorite target. Since Week 3, McLaurin has 31 targets. Second to that is Zach Ertz at 21 and then Noah Brown and 15. Also, the Commanders have the Panthers this week, so McLaurin is an easy start.
  • Lastly, I have Josh Downs as my WR29. While Flacco has been the starter, Downs has become a reliable fantasy option. In his last three weeks Downs has finished as the WR8, WR26, and WR16. In those three weeks, he has 217 yards on 24 receptions and two touchdowns. If Flacco starts again this week, Downs is a great flex-start, even against a tough Miami secondary.
