It’s been 8 weeks; it is time for us to face reality on some of our favorite Fantasy QBs. Unfortunately, the streaming options don’t provide much help in Week 9. Two of our usual top six at the position have not been playing good football over the last couple of weeks. There will need to be some adjustments going forward. Let’s see where they land in the Week 9 Quarterback Rankings.
Say what?! Your fantasy football league isn’t hosted on Fantrax? Unthinkable! Check out all the features Fantrax has to offer, and we think you’ll be singing a different tune for next season.
Week 9 Quarterback Rankings
On bye this week we have Carson Wentz, Jared Goff, Joe Burrow, and Baker Mayfield. We’ll be just fine without them as we get Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray back into our lineups coming off their bye week. We certainly need them with the recent struggles of Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Fortunately, Josh Allen has what’s been a get right matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. The volume will be there for a bounce-back Fantasy performance after Allen has failed to throw a touchdown pass in back-to-back games.
Don’t hear what I’m not saying, I’m not benching Lamar Jackson, yet. He is rushing enough to maintain a high floor in Fantasy. However, he has certainly been a letdown based on where you drafted him. Having eclipsed 30 pass attempts and 20 completions just once this season, the lack of passing volume has dropped Jackson to his lowest ranking of the season. He comes in as the QB9 in the Week 9 Quarterback Rankings.
With bye weeks and the loss of streaming options Jimmy Garoppolo and Gardner Minshew due to injury, you may have to make a move for a QB in Week 9. You also will have to go a little deeper for some streaming options. Keep your eye on Cam Newton against the Jets and Derek Carr vs the Chargers. Matchup and game flow should be on their side for them to produce solid fantasy outings. They make for two of my favorite QB streamers in the Week 9 Quarterback Rankings.
