Fantasy Hockey Week 15 Waiver Wire Forwards – 01/16/24

The waiver wire is a great place to find hidden gems that will help your fantasy hockey team in the short term and sometimes the long term as well. You have likely already taken advantage of this through the first 14 weeks of the NHL season. Regardless, there will still be strong options on the waiver wire at forward that we will look at. Even if it is only for a few games, these players are worth adding to help your team out. This is the place where you can find good options to take advantage of before anyone else in your league does.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Forwards to Consider for Week 15

Joel Farabee, Philadelphia Flyers

Joel Farabee has impressed this season and hasn’t really been talked about in Philadelphia. As the team has done much better than expected, he has been a big part of the reason offensively. While the start of the season wasn’t as big for him fantasy-wise, he has really picked up the pace and proven to be a great addition to a lineup.

The Flyers play four games this week against the St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, and Ottawa Senators. This gives you the maximum amount of games from a player that will give you some points at the very least. He might not hit a ton, block a ton of shots every night, or produce on the power play a whole lot due to the weak power play of the team, but he has been very effective elsewhere. Along with grabbing fantasy owners those stats at a decent rate, he has three goals and 13 points in his last 11 games and points in 13 of his last 18 games.

Eeli Tolvanen, Seattle Kraken

The Seattle Kraken have been very strong recently and continue to win. This may not be due to an impressive offensive showing every night, but when they do score, Eeli Tolvanen is proving to be a big part of that offense. He is not big, but there aren’t very many players like him. He will produce offensively as well as deliver a lot of hits.

The Kraken don’t have the easiest schedule this week, but that shouldn’t stop Tolvanen from continuing to play how he has with shooting the puck, hitting, blocking shots, and putting up points. Before his game Monday, he had two goals and seven points in five games and points in all of those games. The Kraken have four opportunities for Tolvanen to keep contributing, facing the Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. Give him a shot in your lineup to see what he can do.

Mason Marchment, Dallas Stars

Mason Marchment has really been on fire over the past eight games. He’s thriving on a line with Matt Duchene and Tyler Seguin this season and is sitting at 33 points in 42 games with the highest plus/minus on the team. In his last eight games, Marchment has scored four goals and added 12 points. He or his line isn’t showing any signs of slowing down either.

The Stars also play four times this week against four teams that could and have done much better at earlier points in the season. The Stars seem to be catching them all at the right point. They match up against the Los Angeles Kings, Flyers, New Jersey Devils, and New York Islanders. You can’t go wrong with four games from a player who is hot right now, especially on a line that has proven to be very good.
