Winning Starts for Your Fantasy Playoffs

Its Fantasy Playoffs time, baby! It is do or die. I have to make the same difficult decisions with you this week. In most of my leagues, I actually have two flexes. I now realize that not having a kicker has made start/sit decisions twice as hard. Nevertheless, I am putting it all on the line and sharing with you my Winning Plays for the fantasy playoffs.

There are players that have popped up on waivers just this week that may have impactful Week 15’s. Chris Ivory of the Buffalo Bills practiced in full on Wednesday which means he is in line to start against the Lions.  However, after a horrible start as a rushing defense, the Lions have improved since adding Damian Harrison. They are ranked 18th on the season in rushing yards allowed and have given up only 65.4 yards per contest since Week 10.

Kenneth Dixon had a great week with 80 all-purpose yards and a touchdown. Yet, he shares a backfield with Gus Edwards (16 carries last week).

Elijah McGuire will get the start for the Jets on Saturday but will face a Texans defense that has not allowed 75 rushing yards since Week 9.

While these options are all start-worthy assets this week, I want to highlight a few guys I think are due to explode in Week 15.

Winning Starts for Fantasy Playoffs (Week 15)

Curtis Samuel, Carolina Panthers

Since Week 11, Samuel has had 14, 11.2, 12.6, and 10 as his Fantasy finishes for .5 PPR scoring leagues. He has eclipsed 80 yards in the last two weeks and will be playing against a Saints team that allows 215.54 YPC to opposing wide receivers.

James White, New England Patriots

After an unreal first nine weeks to the season which saw White exceed double-digit Fantasy points in each week (including four 20-point games), the Patriots running back has cooled off.

In three out of his last four games, White has failed to reach 10 Fantasy points. However, against the Vikings in Week 13,  White was able to rack up seven receptions for 92 yards. He will be playing the Steelers this week in Pittsburgh which figures to be a high-scoring game. The more Brady drops back to pass, the more likely White gets targets out of the backfield. And we all know that White scores touchdowns in December. Start James White with confidence in your fantasy playoffs.

Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks

Carson is the perfect combination of volume and production. Earlier this year he had a 32-carry game which is unheard of in today’s NFL. Last week he was able to handle 22 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown against a tough Vikings defense.

Carson faces the 49ers in Week 15 who have given up at least 69 yards and a touchdown to running backs in the last three weeks. With Carson listed as healthy and backup Rashaad Penny battling a knee injury, I expect a big game for Carson with a lot of opportunity for Fantasy points.
