Kyle Wright – SP Atlanta Braves

This is a big step forward for Wright as he’s now been cleared to pick up a ball and throw it. He has a long way to go before he’s back and pitching with the Braves, as his arm and shoulder need to be ramped up for more intense work.

Max Fried – SP Atlanta Braves

As mentioned in the news item about Kyle Wright, Fried has also begun throwing. His short box sessions are a way to throw, but from distances not as long (40 feet) as he usually would. They’re also not as intense as they would be if he were throwing from the same distance. Fried probably has another month or so before he can pitch again for the Braves.

Yoan Moncada – 3B Chicago White Sox

Moncada’s injury stems back to Spring Training when he suffered a herniated disc. He’s been awful at the plate for most of the season, yet he’s been in the lineup almost every day. Without him, look for Jake Burger to get into the lineup more often.

Mike Clevinger – SP Chicago White Sox

Considering the possibilities, this is better news than what it could have been. After all, the best news would have been that he was perfectly fine. He seems on track to make his next start and should be considered DTD unless we find out otherwise. He may have that start pushed back a day or two in case things stay the way they are.

Graham Ashcraft – SP Cincinnati Reds

All things considered, this is good news for Ashcraft and the Reds. If and when he clears the hurdle of running, all systems might be a go with him returning shortly afterward. He’ll need to test out his leg in game situations first.

Jake Fraley – OF Cincinnati Reds

Be prepared.

Tarik Skubal – SP Detroit Tigers

Skubal looks almost ready to return. And he looks good in the process.

Gio Urshela – INF Los Angeles Angels, Anthony Rendon – 3B Los Angeles Angels

Urshela had just returned from a back injury that kept him on the shelf for a bit. Now he may miss some time with a hip injury after trying to run out a double-play ball. Stay tuned as he could be on the Injured List. As for Rendon, we will know more once the results from the imaging come back. He just can’t catch a break.

Daniel Hudson – RP Los Angeles Dodgers

Hudson pitched that third inning last night, throwing one scoreless inning with a strikeout and a hit allowed. This was on one day’s rest. He’ll need to try back-to-back days to fully be ready to return. Look for him to be thrown into high-leverage roles upon his return.

Gavin Lux – INF/IF Los Angeles Dodgers

While this is a great first step on the journey back. Lux is very unlikely to return this year.

Max Muncy – 3B Los Angeles Dodgers

It would appear that Muncy’s hamstring injury isn’t as serious as first reported or that Muncy is downplaying it. Either way, it’s an injury that should keep him out for some time. How much, that is to be determined For now, the one report of him returning Saturday appears to be in-play until it’s proven wrong. This is my way of saying that I really don’t know who or what to believe. For now, let’s go with the low-grade injury that’s mild and will keep Muncy’s status as DTD.

Seth Lugo – SP San Diego Padres

There was no word on how things went here, but it would seem likely that Lugo is ready for a rehab assignment.

Alex Wood – SP San Francisco Giants

Be prepared.

Jon Gray – SP Texas Rangers

Be prepared.
