With the longest offseason underway, college fantasy football fans spend their time figuring out who is here and who is gone. This time of year is especially important for those who play in dynasty leagues and are looking for the next for the next big players for the next few years. Although the early signing period is done, National Signing Day arrives on Wednesday and there are still plenty of big uncommitted names left out there.

What to Look for on National Signing Day
For the sake of keeping things interesting, I’m focusing on players who remain uncommitted or are looking to switch commitments. Players with immediate fantasy upside that are committed and staying put going into signing day include but are not limited to…
- WR George Pickens to Auburn
- WR Treylon Burks to Arkansas
- TE Hudson Henry to Arkansas
- WR Arjei Henderson to Florida
- WR Jonathan Mingo to Ole Miss
- RB Deondrick Glass to Oklahoma State
- WR Darren Jones to Utah
- TE Michael Martinez to UCLA
- WR Charles Njoku to UCLA
- WR Malik Brooks to Buffalo
As far as uncommitted or not fully committed players, we start off with Jerrion Ealy.
Jerrion Ealy, Running Back
247Sports Composite Ranking: #29 Nationally, #3 Running Back, #3 Recruit in Mississippi
Team Interests: Clemson, Mississippi State, Ole Miss
Jerrion Ealy is the highest ranked, uncommitted, offensive skill-player left in the 2019 recruiting class. Ealy decommited from Ole Miss several weeks ago after receiving an offer from the reigning national champion Clemson Tigers. Although Ealy would follow behind Travis Etienne on the depth chart, he offers a different skill set from Etienne and could fill the void that Adam Choice leaves on third down and on the goal line. Ealy is the kind of player that wants to go through a defender and is incredibly difficult to take down give his combination of elusiveness and strength.
The only issue that remains with Ealy is if he is to play football or Baseball. Ealy is the nations #4 recruit in baseball and could bolt for the MLB if the price is right. He was initially committed to Ole Miss in Baseball and Football and could potentially do the same at the right school
Prediction: Clemson
Kyle Ford, Wide Receiver
247Sports Composite Ranking: #38 Nationally, #6 Wide Receiver, #4 Recruit in California
Team Interests: Oregon, USC, Washingon
As it stands right now, Kyle Ford is committed to the USC Trojans. But the departure of Kliff Kingsbury resulted in the loss of wide receiver Bru McCoy and running backs coach Mike Jinks. This may also result in the loss of a second 5-Star receiver.
Ford committed to USC over Washington and Oregon in the early part of January. After being considered a lock to USC, his future with the program is growing more and more in question as Oregon’s pushes in the final weeks of the recruiting cycle. Ford is an aggressive receiver that will go up and bring down 50/50 balls. He’s great in space and has a wide catching radius that could make one of the more inaccurate passers look good. The top receiver out of California would be a difference maker for any of those teams above when he signs on signing day.
Prediction: Oregon Flips Ford
Mark-Antony Richards, Athlete
247Sports Composite Ranking: #90 Nationally, #4 Athlete, #12 Recruit in Florida
Team Interests: Miami, Auburn, Florida, Georgia
The chase for Mark-Antony Richards is wide open in the final days before National Signing Day with most giving an edge to Auburn. Georgia received the final in-home visit before the big day and Dan Mullen landed a helicopter at his house. Richards is very coveted heading into the big day and the team that likely wants him the most is Miami. The Hurricanes have lost out on one of their legacies with the David Njoku’s brother Charles going to UCLA and now have a real chance of losing Ahmmon Richards’ brother to a different team.
Although listed as an athlete, Richards wants to play running back where ever he decides to go to college. Miami, early on, wanted him at receiver or corner but have since changed their strategy to land the in-state recruit. His fantasy upside is at its greatest as a running back at Florida or Auburn where the backfields are far less crowded than Georgia or Miami. Richards is a fast and elusive runner with great hands. If he weren’t so adamant about playing running back he would make a great slot receiver given his ability to make plays in space on top of his size.
Prediction: Auburn
Lance LeGendre, Quarterback
247Sports Composite Ranking: #279 Nationally, #9 Dual-Threat, #14 Recruit in Louisianna
Team Interests: Maryland, Florida State
At this point, it seems that Lance LeGendre to Florida State is a foregone conclusion. His interest in joining the Seminoles has only increased in the previous months with Sam Howell’s signing at North Carolina, the hire of nationally renowned Offensive Coordinator Kendal Briles, and the dismissal of Deondre Francois earlier this week. LeGendre is the exact player that Willie Taggart would want in his Gulf Coast offense. Francois was more pro-style than read-option so a lot of his reads came before the play. LeGendre comes from a read-option system and is great at improvisation when a play breaks down. Although his arm needs to develop a bit, it is within reason that LeGendre has a real chance of starting for the Noles this season if/when he signs with them.
His interest in Maryland has carried on for a while now and given players similar to LeGendre have had some success there, a new coach and a new system could deter him from signing there on Wednesday. Dynasty owners looking to strike early on the Kendal Briles quarterback must take a good hard look at LeGendre before snatching up James Blackman.
John Plumlee, Athlete
247Sports Composite Ranking: #350 Nationally, #13 Athlete, #15 Recruit in Mississippi
Team Interests: Ole Miss
I had initially placed John Plumlee on my list because I knew with the news that he would have to blueshirt at Georgia that he would decommit and sign somewhere else. As of Tuesday, Plumlee is heading to Oxford to play for Ole Miss and despite him being listed as an athlete, he is reported everywhere to be a quarterback. Now, Ole Miss will use Matt Corrall as their guy for the next several seasons, with good reason, but the idea that a kid this mobile is going to play under Rich Rodriguez during his college career is a mouthwatering concept in a few seasons. Plumlee’s fantasy potential would have been wasted at Georgia and I think I can speak for everyone in saying that he will become a huge fantasy player in the years following Corral so long as Rich Rod remains the Ole Miss staff.
Prediction: Ole Miss
Jordan Wilmore, All Purpose Back
247Sports Composite Ranking: #362 Nationally, #4 All Purpose Back, #45 Recruit in California
Team Interests: Arizona State, Utah, UCLA, USC
Another recruit that has decommitted from USC, Jordan Wilmore lost interest in the Trojans after the departure of Kliff Kingsbury in early January. The Trojans have been continually haunted by the Kingsbury hire with the loss of Bru McCoy and the likely losses of Kyle Ford and Puca Nakua. In Myles Gaskin like fashion, Wilmore has finished with roughly the same numbers in each year of high school with around 2,200 yards on the ground and a couple hundred in the air. Last week it appeared that Wilmore would be heading to Utah but a late visit to Tempe, Arizona has the 247Sports Crystal Ball swinging heavily in the direction of Arizona State.
From a fantasy perspective, Wilmore going to Arizona State or Utah would lead to big things for the California back given a track record between the two that consists of Eno Benjamin, Zack Moss, Joe Williams, Devontae Booker, Kalen Ballage, Demario Richard, DJ Foster, and Marion Grice in recent seasons. No matter which of the schools he goes with, he would remain behind Eno Benjamin, Zack Moss, and Joshua Kelley for at least one season before he can take over full-time duties and no matter where he goes he will do great things.
