Must Know Fantasy Football Notes from Week 4

Every NFL week I review each team and note what happened: touches, usage, production, efficiency, role changes, risers, fallers, and Fantasy scoring. Most Fantasy managers are hyper-focused on their own Fantasy lineups which could mean missing the details of players that are outside of their matchup for a given week. I love me some NFL RedZone but even watching “seven hours of commercial-free football” means missing some of the important details from a given week. I do the dirty work in this article series so you do not have to. This article series is a great source for you weekly to read all the information you need to know for Fantasy Football from what happened in one spot. Here is what you need to know from Week 4.

Must Know Fantasy Football Notes from Week 4

Arizona Cardinals

  • James Conner rushed 18 times for 104 yards and a touchdown and caught a pass for nine yards. Conner has now scored over 18 Fantasy Points in three of his four games played this season as a true productive workhorse.
  • Marvin Harrison Jr. scored a touchdown which makes his third-straight week in a row doing so and marked his fourth score across the last three weeks. 15.5 Fantasy Points was likely right around MHJ’s projection but useful regardless.
  • With Trey McBride out Kyler Murray targeted MHJ six times, Michael Wilson seven times, Greg Dortch four times, and backup tight end Elijah Higgins three times.

Atlanta Falcons

  • Drake London led all Falcons in Fantasy scoring with just 12.4 Fantasy Points. London has finished with 67 then 64 yards the last two weeks with six catches in each of those games, and most encouraging from Week 4 is his 12 targets.
  • Bijan Robinsion’s Fantasy Football scoring has trended down from scoring 16-ish points the opening two weeks to 13.2 and 11.4 the last two weeks. Robinson finished with a season low 11 touches in Week 4 for 74 yards while Tyler Allgeier finished with 10 touches for 80 yards.
  • Kirk Cousins finished 21/35 (60%) for 238 passing yards and an interception. Cousins now has an even four touchdowns and four interceptions on the year. Kyle Pitts finished with a goose-egg due to failing to catch any of his three targets.

Baltimore Ravens

  • After rushing 25 times for 151 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3, Derrick Henry rushed 24 times for 199 yards and scored both a rushing and a receiving touchdown in Week 4. 30.4 then 35.9 Fantasy Points. Massive volume paired with massive production for the 30-year-old.
  • Lamar Jackson again attempted under 20 passes, throwing 13/18 (72.2%) for 156 yards and two touchdowns while adding 54 yards and a rushing touchdown to that total. Jackson has scored 23+ Fantasy Points in three of his four appearances this season.
  • Justice Hill was heavily involved Week 1 with six receptions, and then caught six again in Week 4 but for 78 yards and a touchdown. 21.6 Fantasy Points. Hill has stand-alone value when utilized as a pass-catcher.
  • Isaiah Likely was targeted twice, Rashod Bateman once, Nelson Agholor three times, Zay Flowers twice, and Mark Andrews just once. Hard to trust anyone listed with the recent passing volume.

Buffalo Bills

  • Khalil Shakir continues to be the best wide receiver in Buffalo to roster. Shakir caught four of his five targets for 62 yards. Four straight weeks now with 10+ Fantasy Points.
  • Dalton Kincaid caught five of his seven targets for 47 yards. Encouraging is the season-high in receptions and targets despite scoring again under 10 Fantasy Points.
  • Keon Coleman matched his season-high in receiving yards with 51. Curtis Samuel continues to be off the Fantasy Football radar.
  • Josh Allen threw 16/29 (55.2%) for 180 passing yards and fumbled once. Extremely low production from a guy who seems to always be overly productive. James Cook finished with just 10 touches for 18 yards on the day.

Chicago Bears

  • After scoring under nine Fantasy Points the opening three weeks, D’Andre Swift exploded for a monster 29.5 point score. Swift rushed 16 times for 93 yards and a touchdown and caught seven passes for 72 yards. Season-highs across the board here mean encouragement for a guy we thought was dead for Fantasy Football.
  • Caleb Williams threw 17/23 (73.9%) for 157 yards and a touchdown to DJ Moore. DJM earned six targets, Cole Kmet three targets, Keenan Allen three targets, and Rome Odunze three targets.
  • After 12 touches last week, Roschon Johnson finished with seven in Week 4 but scored a rushing touchdown. Good handcuff to have.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • After a quiet three weeks, Chase Brown led all Bengals in Fantasy scoring with 23.2 points. Brown rushed 15 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 12 yards. Zack Moss followed up his Week 3 score of 20.7 Fantasy Points with 17.8 by rushing 15 times as well for 51 yards and catching four passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.
  • Ja’Marr Chase bounced back for Fantasy Football in Week 3 with 29.8 points then scored 17.5 in Week 4. Chase has finished with 118 then 85 yards the last two weeks, with three receiving touchdowns during this span.
  • Joe Burrow threw 22/31 (71%) for 232 passing yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Tee Higgins caught six of his 10 targets for 60 yards. 16 targets across the last two weeks is a good sign for Higgins that a big day is to come.
  • Rookie Erick All Jr. earned four targets while Mike Gesicki earned just one. All has earned four targets exactly for three straight weeks and can slowly be taking over the TE1 role.

Cleveland Browns

  • Jerome Ford rushed 10 times for 58 yards and caught seven passes for 27 yards. 15.5 Fantasy Points is Ford’s second-best score of the season.
  • Jerry Jeudy led the Browns in targets (nine), receptions (six), and receiving yards (72). Jeudy has scored double-digit Fantasy Points in three of his first four games as a Brown this season. After an explosion in Week 3 (27.6 points) for Amari Cooper, he scored under eight Fantasy Points for the third time this year.
  • Deshaun Watson threw 24/32 (75%) for 176 passing yards, a touchdown, an interception, and rushed for 32 yards.

Dallas Cowboys

  • CeeDee Lamb finished with 23.6 Fantasy Points, which is his highest score so far this season. Lsamb caught seven of his eight targets for 98 yards and a touchdown.
  • Dak Prescott threw 22/27 (81.5%) for 221 passing yards, and two passing touchdowns for 16.74 points. Dak has thrown a pair f touchdowns now the last two weeks in a row.
  • Rico Dowdle scored a season-high 13.1 Fantasy Points rushing 11 times for 46 yards and catching a 15-yard touchdown. Ezekiel Elliott rushed just five times for 19 yards and caught a pass for five yards. Zeke has touched the ball eight times or less now for three weeks in a row.
  • Jake Ferguson caught all seven targets for 49 yards. Ferguson has been targeted 18 times the last two weeks with scores of 15.5 and 11.9 Fantasy Points.

Denver Broncos

  • Courtland Sutton scored a season-high 15.8 Fantasy Points in Week 4. Sutton caught three of his nine targets for 60 yards and a touchdown. Sutton has finished with 60+ receiving yards the last two games, earning a total of 20 targets during this span.
  • After what looked like a three-heading backfield in Week 3, Javonte Williams rushed 16 times for 77 yards in Week 4 which were both season-highs. Jaleel McLaughlin rushed nine times for 46 yards.

Green Bay Packers

  • Jordan Love returned from action and dominated for Fantasy Football. Love threw 32/54 (59.3%) for 389 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and three interceptions for 28.16 Fantasy Points.
  • Jayden Reed scored 33.1 Fantasy Points in Week 1 with Love, then 27.1 points in Week 4. Reed caught seven of his eight targets for 139 receiving yards and a touchdown. Reed has now finished with 138/139 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown in each game with Love this season.
  • Dontayvion Wicks had a massive week, catching five of his 13 targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns for 24.8 Fantasy Points. Wicks’ usage and production will make him a hot waiver add this week.
  • Tucker Kraft may also be a waiver wire target this week after catching six of his nine targets for 53 yards and a touchdown for 17.3 Fantasy Points. Fellow sophomore tight end Luke Musgrave was targeted just three times, and it is clear who the TE1 here is.

Houston Texans

  • Nico Collins finished with season highs in targets (14), receptions (12), receiving yards (151), and Fantasy Points (33.1). Collins scored his second touchdown of the season and has finished three weeks with 117 or more receiving yards.
  • CJ Stroud threw 27/40 (67.5%) for 345 passing yards and two touchdowns for 23.5 Fantasy Points. Stroud’s new veteran target Stefon Diggs caught five of nine targets for 69 yards and rushed for his first career touchdown on the ground.
  • Dare Ogunbowale rushed twice for seven yards and caught four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown for 15.4 Fantasy Points. Cam Akers rushed 13 times for 53 yards with Joe Mixon sidelined again.

Indianapolis Colts

  • Anthony Richardson left the game with a hip injury which meant Joe Flacco stepping in. Flacco threw 16/26 (61.5%) for 168 yards and two passing touchdowns.
  • Jonathan Taylor also left the game with a diagnosed high-ankle sprain after rushing 21 times for 88 yards and a touchdown. Trey Sermon could be in line for significant work as the backup running back.
  • Josh Downs caught eight of his nine targets for 82 yards and a touchdown. Downs has now earned 14 targets across the two games he has played this season since returning from injury. Big waiver wire name.
  • Michael Pittman Jr. had his best game of the year catching six of his nine targets for 113 receiving yards. 17.3 Fantasy Points is nearly 10 more Fantasy Points than any other week. MPJ made 32 and 28 yard plays with Richardson playing but ultimately finished with over 100 receiving yards by the end of the game despite never surpassing 36 yards the three games prior.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • First-round rookie Brian Thomas Jr. impressed again, having his best Fantasy week of the season. BTJ caught six of his nine targets for 86 yards and a touchdown and even rushed for 13 yards. 21.9 Fantasy Points in Week 4 could be a sign of more big days to come. BTJ has checked the boxes of scoring touchdowns, showing receiving yard upside, and earning targets. 18 targets across the last two weeks earned.
  • After scoring under five Fantasy Points the opening two weeks, then 15.9 Fantasy Points in Week 3, Christian Kirk continued to trend up in Week 4 for 19.1 points. Kirk caught seven of his 12 targets for 61 yards and a touchdown. Kirk has now earned 22 targets across the last two weeks.
  • Travis Etienne rushed 11 times for 50 yards and caught a pass for 10 yards. Etienne left the game with a shoulder injury and returned but Tank Bigsby was the standout of the day on the ground. Tank rushed seven times for 90 yards and could have earned more of a backfield split moving forward.

Kansas City Chiefs

  • Xavier Worthy earned four targets for the third week in a row but was his most productive through the air catching three of them for 73 yards and a touchdown. Worthy scored 16.3 Fantasy Points. We are still eagerly waiting for the new on Rashee Rice’s knee injury at the time of my writing this, but in the event Rice misses time that would be a target boost for Worthy.
  • Travis Kelce looked like Travis Kelce for the first time in four weeks after scoring seven or fewer Fantasy Points in the opening three weeks. Kelce caught seven of his nine targets for 89 yards and scored 15.9 Fantasy Points. Kelce’s role should increase in the event of Rice missing significant time as well.
  • Kareem Hunt suited up and rushed 14 times for 69 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards. Carson Steele started the game but lost a fumble on the first drive which ultimately ended up meaning just three touches in Week 4. Samaje Perine rushed five times for 14 yards and a touchdown. Hunt looks like the running back to roster until Isiah Pacheco is back.

Los Angeles Chargers

  • Second-round rookie Ladd McConkey had his best game of the season for Fantasy Football with 17.7 points, catching five of his seven targets for 67 yards and his second touchdown of the season. Ladd has been targeted six or seven times in three of his four appearances.
  • Justin Herbert threw 16/27 (59.3%) for 179 yards and a touchdown. Across four weeks of football, the 179 passing yards was a season-high.
  • Joshua Palmer returned after missing a week to catch three of his four targets for 36 yards. Quentin Johnston caught just one of his five targets for nine yards.
  • JK Dobbins rushed 14 times for 32 yards and caught three passes for 30 yards. Dobbins yards per carry numbers through four weeks: 13.5 then 7.7 then 2.9 then 2.3. Gus Edwards rushed six times for 19 yards.

Los Angeles Rams

  • Kyren Williams exploded for 31.6 Fantasy Points in Week 3 then continued to stay hot in Week 4 with 20.4 Fantasy Points. Williams rushed 19 times for a season-high 94 yards and scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the season.
  • Tutu Atwell was the standout again through the air, catching four passes for 82 yards. Atwell finished with 93 yards the week prior and seems to be the upside receiver for yardage with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua out.
  • Sixth-round rookie Jordan Whittington led the Rams in targets (eight) and receptions (six) for 62 yards. Colby Parkinson earned seven targets but produced just 33 yards and Demarcus Robinson earned three.

Las Vegas Raiders

  • With Davante Adams out this week, Tre Tucker was the most productive wide receiver catching five of his six targets for 41 yards and rushing for a touchdown. Tucker caught seven passes for 96 yards and a touchdown the week prior. 22.6 then 15.4 Fantasy Points the last two weeks makes Tucker an interesting waiver wire move.
  • Jakobi Meyers earned 10 targets but caught half for 49 yards. Meyers has been targeted 19 times the last two weeks. Brock Bowers scored under eight Fantasy Points for the second week in a row catching just two of his three targets for 19 yards and rushing once for 12.
  • Zamir White rushed 17 times for 50 yards, which resulted in just three Fantasy Points which makes two weeks in a row scoring under four points and four straight weeks scoring under seven points. One of the biggest busts of the year. Alexander Mattison was again more productive rushing five times for 60 yards.

Minnesota Vikings

  • Jordan Addison returned to action after missing two weeks and caught three of his four targets for 72 yards and a touchdown for 22.9 Fantasy Points.
  • Justin Jefferson has now scored a receiving touchdown in four straight games, caught six passes for the second week in a row, and finished with 85 receiving yards. Jefferson has finished with 133, 81, and then 85 yards in the last three games and has scored 20+ Fantasy Points in each of them.
  • Sam Darnold has scored 19+ Fantasy Points in three straight weeks and over 20 Fantasy Points two weeks in a row. Darnold threw an efficient 20/28 (71.4%) for a season-high 275 passing yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Darnold has thrown seven touchdowns across the last two weeks.
  • Aaron Jones rushed 22 times for 93 yards and caught four passes for 46 yards. Jones has finished games with 94, 102, and 93 rushing yards and has finished with exactly 46 receiving yards two weeks in a row. 17.9 Fantasy Points in Week 4 is the third time Jones has scored that or more this season and I am sure his productive Week 4 felt great against his former team.

New England Patriots

  • Antonio Gibson rushed six times for 12 yards and caught three passes for 67 yards. Gibson was the only Patriot to score 10+ Fantasy Points. Rhamondre Stevenson rushed 13 times for 43 yards and caught four passes for 19 yards.
  • Austin Hooper caught two passes for 13 yards and scored. Hunter Henry caught two passes for 12 yards.
  • Ja’Lynn Polk caught three of his seven targets for 30 yards. Demario Douglas caught all three targets for 13 yards. KJ Osborn caught one of his five targets for just three yards.
  • The above players were held back by Jacoby Brissett’s 19/32 (59.4%) for 168 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. This draws the question – when do we see 2024 third-overall pick Drake Maye?

New Orleans Saints

  • Alvin Kamara continues to be one of the hottest running backs in football. Kamara rushed 19 times for 77 yards and a touchdown and caught a season-high seven passes for 42 yards. Kamara has scored 22, 44, 15.7, and 24.9 Fantasy Points through four weeks.
  • Chris Olave played despite hamstring worries and caught a season-high eight of his season-high 10 targets for 87 yards. Olave scored 16.7 Fantasy Points after scoring 20.6 the week prior. 81, 86, 87 receiving yards through three weeks.
  • Rashid Shaheed caught eight of his 11 targets for 83 yards and rushed twice for 14 yards. Season-high, encouraging volume numbers for Shaheed in targets and receptions. Shaheed scored 15.7 Fantasy Points which marks three of his four weeks played with over 15 points on the year.
  • Taysom Hill sustained a rib injury in Week 4 but rushed six times for 24 yards and two touchdowns for 14.4 Fantasy Points. Hard to truly know when and how his usage will pop.

New York Giants

  • Malik Nabers has scored 28.7, 28.2, and then 23.1 Fantasy Points the last three weeks. Nabers caught 12 of his 15 targets for 115 receiving yards in Week 4. Nabers finished with 127 yards in Week 2 and scored three times across Weeks 2-3. The first-round rookie looks the part of an elite Fantasy Football weapon but unfortunately suffered a concussion in Week 4.
  • Wan’Dale Robinson caught 11 of his 14 targets for 71 receiving yards for 18.1 Fantasy Points which were all season-highs. Robinson earned 12 targets back in Week 1, finished with 61 receiving yards in Week 3, and has three weeks of double-digit Fantasy Points.

New York Jets

  • Aaron Rodgers threw 24/42 (57.1%) for 225 yards without a touchdown. Allen Lazard was the most productive receiver, catching five of his eight targets for 58 yards. Mike Williams is trending up who caught four balls for 67 yards.
  • Garrett Wilson caught five of his eight targets for 41 yards. Wilson has been targeted 17 times the last two weeks but has yet to surpass 60 receiving yards or 14.3 Fantasy Points.
  • Braelon Allen rushed eight times for 34 yards and caught a pass for 12 yards. Breece Hall rushed 10 times for a horrible four yards and caught two passes for 14 yards. The rookie out-produced Hall with fewer touches.

Philadelphia Eagles

  • Jalen Hurts threw 18/30 (60%) for 158 passing yards and a passing touchdown. His Fantasy stock was saved by a rushing touchdown.
  • Saquon Barkley rushed 10 times for 84 yards and caught two passes for 32 yards. 13.6 Fantasy Points feels like a bust week with how explosive Barkley’s season has been.
  • Dallas Goedert caught seven passes for 62 yards after catching 10 passes for 170 yards the week prior. Goedert has been targeted 19 times in the last two weeks with Fantasy scores of 27 and 13.2. Clearly the beneficiary of AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith’s injuries.

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Explosive Fantasy Football week for Justin Fields, who has displayed plenty of Fantasy upside in the past with the Bears but brought that back to life with the Steelers in Week 4. Fields threw 22/34 (64.7%) for 312 passing yards and a passing touchdown and rushed 10 times for 55 yards and two rushing touchdowns. 31.98 Fantasy Points. This Fantasy performance comes after 18.4 points the week prior.
  • Pat Freiermuth scored a season-high 16.7 Fantasy Points, catching five of his seven targets for 57 yards and a touchdown. Encouraging performance for the Muth who has been consistently involved each week.
  • George Pickens caught seven of his 11 targets for 113 receiving yards. Season-highs across the board right there which is an encouraging sign on top of his 16.3 Fantasy Points.
  • Najee Harris had a horrible day on the ground rushing 13 times for 19 yards but managed to take three receptions for 54 yards. Cordarrelle Patterson left Week 4 with an ankle injury, which is on top of Jaylen Warren missing the week altogether.

San Fransisco 49ers

  • Jordan Mason rushed 24 times for 123 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for a season-high 37 yards. Mason scored a season-high 24 Fantasy Points which was his second week over 22 points and third over 17 points. Mason’s 123 yards is the third time through four weeks he has rushed for 100+ and he now has three rushing touchdowns on the year.
  • Brock Purdy threw 15/27 (55.6%) but for 288 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Purdy’s passing yard upside has been evident this season through him leading the NFL in the category as the only quarterback right 1,100+ yards.
  • George Kittle returned after missing a game to catch all four targets for 45 yards and a touchdown for 14.5 Fantasy Points. Deebo Samuel returned after a missed week as well to catch three of his five targets for 58 yards and he rushed twice for 14 yards.
  • After that explosive 46.5 Fantasy Point Week 3, Jauan Jennings caught three of his six targets for 88 yards. Brandon Aiyuk caught two of his five targets for 48 receiving yards. Aiyuk has yet to score 10 Fantasy Points through four weeks of football which is painful.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Baker Mayfield scored 29.66 Fantasy Points in Week 1 then 28.88 Fantasy Points in Week 4. Baker threw 30/47 (63.8%) for a season-high 347 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and rushed for his second touchdown of the season.
  • Mike Evans bounced back after two down weeks to score 23.4 Fantasy Points. Evans caught eight of his 14 targets for 93 yards and a touchdown. This was the second time Evans scored 23-ish Fantasy Points and that target total was nice. Down Chris Godwin week at 12.9 points but he has earned nine targets two weeks in a row.
  • Bucky Irving rushed 10 times for 49 yards and a touchdown and caught a pass for six yards. Rachaad White rushed 10 times for 49 yards and caught two passes for 35 yards. Very split backfield.

Washington Commanders

  • Jayden Daniels has been the hottest Fantasy scoring quarterback as a rookie and finished with 24 Fantasy Points which marks three weeks now with 24+. Daniels threw 26/30 (86.7%) for 233 yards, a touchdown, an interception, and rushed eight times for 47 yards and a rushing touchdown. Dual-threat dynamic weapon.
  • Jeremy McNichols saw an increase in usage with Austin Ekeler out, rushing eight times for 68 yards and two touchdowns for 20.4 Fantasy Points. Brian Robinson Jr. rushed 21 times for 101 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 12 yards. Season-high 20.3 Fantasy Points for BRob.
  • 20 Fantasy Points in Week 3 then 18.2 in Week 4 for Terry McLaurin who caught seven of his 10 targets for 52 yards and a touchdown. The second week in a row with a touchdown and the target/reception totals were season-highs. Great change in Fantasy production after scoring under nine Fantasy Points in the opening two weeks.
  • Olamide Zaccheaus caught all six targets for 85 yards after not being involved the week prior.
