Deep League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 13
Vince Williams Jr., SG/SF – Memphis Grizzlies (50% rostered)
Williams Jr. has to be one of the biggest steals of the 2023 NBA Draft. The 23-year-old flashed numerous times to start the year, especially while Ja Morant was serving his suspension, and while his stats and minutes predictably tailed off once Morant returned from suspension, the VCU product now has a world of opportunity ahead with Ja undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery. Over the past four games, the rookie is averaging 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.5 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 32.2 minutes. The rookie is a must-add in EVERY league.
Luke Kennard, SG – Memphis Grizzlies (39% rostered)
Kennard is THRIVING with Ja Morant sidelined for the season. Over the past four games, the 27-year-old is averaging 12.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.8 three-pointers in 26.9 minutes. The Duke product is a must-add in every league, especially if you need help from beyond the arc.
Isaiah Jackson, PF/C – Indiana Pacers (48% rostered)
Jackson has been delivering ELITE stocks over the last three games, averaging 2.3 steals and 2.0 blocks to go along with 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 18.4 minutes. While the minutes aren’t great, the 22-year-old can rack up stocks in a hurry. As long as the Kentucky product keeps getting 18-plus minutes a game, he should be added for stocks, rebounds, and field-goal percentage.
Jalen Smith, PF/C – Indiana Pacers (47% rostered)
Since being inserted into the starting lineup 10 games ago, Smith is averaging 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.8 three-pointers. While these numbers aren’t necessarily elite, the 23-year-old has a very safe fantasy floor in the starting lineup. The Maryland product is a no-brainer addition to the end of your bench in Points leagues.
Jabari Walker, SF/PF – Portland Trailblazers (41% rostered)
Walker has been rebounding MACHINE over his last nine games, averaging 8.4 rebounds to go along with 11.4 points on 56.7% field-goal shooting in 25.1 minutes. The 21-year-old has a nose for boards and should continue getting plenty of minutes off the bench for a Portland team starving for upside. Add the Colorado product for boards, points, and field-goal percentage along with occasional dimes and stocks.
Kris Dunn, PG – Utah Jazz (41% rostered)
Dunn has recorded at least one stock over the past seven games, averaging 2.0 steals and 1.3 blocks to go along with 4.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in 21.3 minutes. You aren’t adding the 29-year-old for his scoring. You’re adding the Providence product for his ability to swipe, swat, and dish with boards mixed in.
Alec Burks, SG – Detroit Pistons (40% rostered)
Burks has scored double-digit points in 10 straight games, averaging 17.2 points to go along with 3.2 three-pointers and 2.6 rebounds. The 32-year-old has been getting a lot of run off the bench, especially with Cade Cunningham nursing a knee injury. The Colorado product should continue getting heavy minutes off the bench and accumulate plenty of points and triples along with decent rebounds.
Larry Nance Jr., PF/C – New Orleans Pelicans (32% rostered)
Nance Jr. has been delivering off the bench since returning from a 13-game layoff, averaging 8.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals, and is even chipping in with 0.9 three-pointers in 20.4 minutes over the past nine games. Add the 31-year-old for consistent boards, swipes, and field-goal percentage.
