NFL DFS Late Slate Picks Week 5

There are only 4 games in the late slate this week. Both DraftKings and FanDuel run a series of tournaments and cash games that are just for the late afternoon slate of games. If you read my Money Makers and Heart Breakers for the Main Slate you know how the write-ups will go for the most part. We only talk about who to play in this one. They are my favorite Week 5 NFL DFS picks on DraftKings and FanDuel for the Sunday afternoon games.

Quarterbacks

Jordan Love

Jordan Love is back, and yes, we Love it. To top things off the Packers plat the Rams in Week 5. The Rams give up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing teams’ quarterbacks. Quarterbacks average 233 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams. In Week 4 Love passed for 389 yards and four touchdowns. This should be a very big game for the Packers pass attack.

$8,200 on FanDuel

Brock Purdy

The Niners play the Cardinals in Week 5. The Cardinals give up the fourth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Brock Purdy plays quarterback for the Niners. This will be the easiest defense Purdy has passed against this season. That one sure does have a Purdy pass.

Running Backs

Kyren Williams

Williams has 6 total touchdowns this season. He has become the focal point of the Rams’ offense and has zero competition for touches. I think we can trust Williams to get his 20-something total touches and give you a 20-point fantasy day in Week 5. Volume is King and Williams simply gets it weekly.

$8,400 on FanDuel

Josh Jacobs

Jacobs has been involved in this Packers offense. The Rams are up next, and they give up the fifth most fantasy points to running backs. He is averaging 20 touches per game and has not scored a touchdown yet this season. Jacobs scores in Week 5. The Rams have given up 5 rushing touchdowns this season.

$7,000 on FanDuel

James Conner.

Conner has been steady for most of this season so far. The only game he hasn’t produced fantasy points in he got game scripted out of. I am looking for him to be involved as the Niners’ defense is middle of the pack defending the run. Conner is simply a solid not so secy play, that will get you points.

$7,900 on FanDuel

Jordan Mason

Is Jordan Mason making you forget all about Christian McCaffrey? I could if he continues to produce. He has scored over 20 fantasy points in three out of four games this season. This week he gets to play against a Cardinals defense that gives up the fifth most fantasy points to running backs. Six different running backs have scored over 11 fantasy points against the Cardinals this season. A big week is on tap for Mason.

Wide Receivers

Jayden Reed

Did I happen to mention that Jordan Love is back in the lineup? I did, didn’t I? Reed has over 138 yards and a touchdown in each of the games Jordan Love has started this season. One game was 138 yards the other was 139 yards. I like Jordan but Reed Loves Love. The Rams are up in Week 5 and they give up the sixth most fantasy points to opposing teams wide receivers. I love it when a plan comes together.

Dontayvion Wicks

If you didn’t know Wick had huge target volume in Week 4. He saw 13 targets which he turned into 5 receptions for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns. Now, I don’t think we can expect that kind of volume in Week 5. But Christian Watson is out, which opens up some targets for thee other guys. The Rams do not defend the pass well at all. I am stacking the Pack in the late slate.

$5,000 on DraftKings
$5,900 on FanDuel

Jordan Whittington

Whittington led the Rams in wide receiver snaps in Week 4, playing 97% of the offensive snaps. He also led the team in target and receptions. The stat line was 8 targets, 6 receptions, and 62 yards. In Week 5 the Rams play against the Packers. The Packers give up the seventh most fantasy points to wide receivers. 6 different wide receivers have had double-digit fantasy scores against the Packers. He is a nice play in Week 5.

$4,600 on DraftKings
$5,400 on FanDuel

Deebo Samuel

Deebo is back in the lineup for the Niners and should be back in your lineup for fantasy. The Cardinals are middle of the pack against wide receivers. They are not great at defending the pass. Deebo should get the target volume and potentially a couple of carries to push him over the top in this one. To top it off he is priced right for DFS.

$8,000 on FanDuel

Tight Ends

Tucker Kraft

Oh my, what do we have here? Another Packers player who is better when Jordan Love is on the field? That is unheard of. Kraft is now dominating the tight end snaps, he had 86% of them in Week 4. He also saw his highest volume of targets on a day when Jordan Love had to throw the ball a lot. So, the volume may not be 9 targets this week. But the matchup is nice. Let’s stack the Pack.

$3,500 on DraftKings
$5,300 on FanDuel

DEF

Seahawks

The Giants haven’t been as bad as they were in Week 1 against the Vikings’ great defense. They also haven’t been great. To top it off Malik Nabers may miss this game. There will be sacks, there will be fumbles, there may even be an interception. Seahawks
