NFL DFS Late Slate Picks Week 7

There are only three games in the late slate for Week 7. Only THREE! Does that make it easier or more difficult? I love some of the match ups and just some of the players in general in this late slate.

Week 7 NFL DFS for the Late Slate

Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford

Stafford is having a roller-coaster season so far. His favorite two targets have been out with injuries. He may or may not get Cooper Kupp back this week. He also gets to play the Raiders this week. The Raiders give up the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. I like him this week to pass for over 250 yards and a touchdown. Maybe more if Kupp is in the lineup.

Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels is currently the overall QB3 for fantasy. In Week 7 Daniels gets to play the Panthers defense that gives up 231 yards and 2 touchdowns per week to quarterbacks. Are you picking up what I am putting down here? Daniels is going to pass, he is going to run, and Jayden Daniels is going to score touchdowns in Week 7.

Andy Dalton

The Panthers play the Commanders in Week 7. The Commanders give up the ninth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Every quarterback to play the Commanders has passed for at least one touchdown this season. Dalton has multiple touchdowns in 3 out of 4 starts. Big day for the red rocket, um, I mean rifle.

Running Backs

Brian Robinson

The Panthers are not only bad against the pass, they also cannot defend the run. Running backs have scored 12 touchdowns against the Panthers this season. If Robinson is back in the lineup for Week 7 he will feast against this defense. Robinson has over 100 yards rushing or a touchdown in every game he has played this year. If he doesn’t go bump up Austin Ekeler.

Kareem Hunt

Hunt is the running back to play for the Chiefs. In Week 5 he had 27 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown. He also had 1 reception for 15 yards. The Niners are up in Week 7 and they are middle of the pack at defending the run. In four out of six games this season a running back has scored double-digit fantasy points. Kareem is back in the hunt.

Chuba Hubbard

The Panthers play the Commanders in Week 7. The Commanders have given up big fantasy days to running backs in all but one game this season. That was the hapless Cleaveland Browns. You know what that means. Chuba has four straight games of double-digit fantasy scores and that streak will continue. Hubba, hubba, look at Chuba!

Alexander Mattison

The Raiders play the Rams in Week 7. The Rams have given up big games to running backs in every game this season. Mattison is the starting running back for the Raiders. The volume will be there for him to produce. He is a sneaky play in a nice match-up in Week 7.

Kyren Williams

The Raiders are also bad at defending running backs. Running backs average 21 carries 110 yards rushing and 6 receptions for 35 yards per week against the Raiders. Kyren has scored a touchdown in every game this season. This looks like a boom week for Williams. Thank goodness he got to do punt returns it has made him an even better running back.

Wide Receivers

Diontae Johnson

Johnson has really good since Andy Dalton took over at quarterback for the Panthers. The Commanders and their bottom 10 defense against the pass are up in Week 7. I am taking Johnson and his volume of targets and going against the Commanders.

Juju Smith-Schuster

Juju has taken over as the primary wide receiver option in the Chiefs offense. In Week 5 (the last game the Chiefs played) Juju saw 8 targets, which he turned into 7 receptions and 130 yards. They are going to have to pass in this game. You know I like the idea of playing the top wide receiver catching passes from Patrick Mahomes.

Terry McLaurin

In six games this season, the Panthers have given up nine touchdowns to wide receivers. Terry has been scary for opponents in the last four games. He has four touchdowns over that span. When a bad defense meets a great wide receiver, we get fantasy points. McLaurin is getting you fantasy points this week. Why? Because he has 34% of the Commanders’ target share. There will be double-digit targets, lots of yards, and probably a touchdown in Week 7 for Terry. McLaurin says “I’m Scary Terry bitch” (Let me know if you get that pop culture reference)

Xavier Leggette

His target volume was down in Week 6, but he managed 3 receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown. The matchup is right in Week 7 against the Commanders. The Commanders give up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

Tight Ends

George Kittle

Kittle is having a great season as he is the overall TE1 in fantasy after six weeks. In Week 7 the Niners play the Chiefs. The Chiefs give up the most fantasy points to opposing teams’ tight ends. Kittle has scored a touchdown in four straight games. This is a position where the Niners will take advantage against the Chiefs’ defense. The stars have completely aligned for Kittle in Week 7.

Travis Kelce

Kelce has 19 targets in the last two games. He has turned that into 16 receptions and 159 yards. The Niners defense is good and I lean hard into Kittle this week but Kelce is more than viable. He looks like the offense may have been Taylored to his abilities. He is looking swift in his movements. But really I just like the volume.

DEF

Rams

The Raiders are up in Week 7 for the Rams. The Raiders give up the second most fantasy points to opposing teams’ defenses. In each of the past three games, the opposing defense has surpassed 11 fantasy points against the Raiders. The Rams are coming off their bye week and have had extra time to prepare. This is a nice play in Week 7.
