NFL Injury Report – Week 16

Let’s get right to it this week. These are the playoffs. Congratulations for making it this far. Now is not the time to slam on the brakes. Instead, accelerate your game and push to a title. Do that by understanding who will play, their role in the games, and how they have been trending all week long. Here are the injuries that you need to know about as we enter Week 6 of the NFL season.

NFL Injury Report

Arizona Cardinals

RB Trey Benson (ankle) – OUT for Week 16.

Carolina Panthers

David Moore (concussion) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, though he practiced in full on Friday. and is expected to play.

Xavier Legette (hip) – OUT for Week 16.

Jalen Coker (quad) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, as he was limited at practice all week long, but he is expected to play.

Cleveland Browns

WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) – OUT for Week 16.

QB Jameis Winston (shoulder) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, but it would be as a backup, albeit as a third-string quarterback.

TE David Njoku (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, though he is hopeful to play.

Detroit Lions

RB David Montgomery (knee) – OUT for Week 16 with an injury that may require surgery, though there is optimism that he will return for the playoffs.

Miami Dolphins

WR Tyreek Hill (wrist) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16 after being limited on Friday, despite a full practice the day before; he is expected to play.

WR Jaylen Waddle (knee) – DOUBTFUL for Week 16 after missing practice all week.

New Orleans Saints

QB Derek Carr (hand/concussion) – OUT for Week 16.

Alvin Kamara (groin) – OUT for Week 16.

New York Giants

RB Tyrone Tracy (ankle) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, as he was a limited participant all week long, but he is expected to play.

New York Jets

RB Braelon Allen (back) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, despite practicing fully on Friday.

San Francisco 49ers

RB Isaac Guerendo (foot/hamstring) – OUT for Week 16.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TE Cade Otton (knee) – OUT for Week 16.

Tennessee Titans

RB Tony Pollard (ankle) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, as he missed practice all week, but he is expected to play.

QB Will Levis (shoulder) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16, though if he does play, and it is expected that he will, it will be as a backup.

Washington Commanders

TE Zach Ertz (concussion/shoulder) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 16 after being limited at practice all week, but is expected to play.


NFL Injured Reserve/PUP

Carolina Panthers

RB Jonathan Brooks (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the season.

Cleveland Browns

QB DeShaun Watson (Achilles) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the regular season after having successful surgery.

RB Nick Chubb (foot) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the regular season

Dallas Cowboys

QB Dak Prescott (hamstring) – to be placed on Injured Reserve after Week 9, and underwent season-ending surgery, with the timeline for a full recovery to be three months, giving him a full offseason.

Green Bay Packers

TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 5, who will miss at least the next four weeks, has been ruled QUESTIONABLE for Week 16.

Houston Texans

TE Brevin Jordan (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

WR Stefon Diggs (knee – ACL) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

Jacksonville Jaguars

WR Christian Kirk (collarbone) – placed on Injured Reserve after fracturing his collarbone in Week 8, and will miss the remainder of the season.

QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) – placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury and a concussion, one of which required surgery.

TE Evan Engram (shoulder) – OUT for Week 15 and the season, and had surgery.

Kansas City Chiefs

WR Rashee Rice (shoulder) – placed on Injured Reserve, though the team is unsure if he will return this season; they will know more about his timeline after he has a procedure done early next week to test the severity of the situation.

Las Vegas Raiders

RB Zamir White (quad) – placed on Injured Reserve.

Los Angeles Chargers

RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 12, with the intent of returning for the stretch run.

New Orleans Saints

WR Rashid Shaheed (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve with an injury to his meniscus, and will miss the rest of the regular season after having surgery to repair it.

WR Bub Means (ankle) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 8 and will miss at least the next four weeks.

WR Chris Olave (concussion) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 9 and will miss at least the next four weeks, and possibly the rest of the season, but he is OUT for Week 16.

TE Taysom Hill (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 14, and will miss the rest of the season.

Philadelphia Eagles

TE Dallas Goedert (knee) – placed on Injured Reserve after Week 13 and will miss the rest of the regular season.

San Francisco 49ers

WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season due to an injury to his ACL and MCL, for which he had successful surgery.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

WR Chris Godwin (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve after Week 7, with the expectation that he would miss the remainder of the season.
