Rockies Fill Closer Vacancy with Wade Davis

The Rockies signed Wade Davis to be their closer for the next three or four seasons. The 32-year-old righty performed great for the Cubs last season, posting a 2.30 ERA, 12.1 K/9, and 32 saves. The Rockies hope Davis will be able to continue the high-level production into his mid-30s. The biggest change for Davis, compared to his time closing for the Royals and Cubs, will be a projected increase in his WHIP and ERA because of Colorado’s high home field BABIP. His ERA will likely get bumped up a half a run. He's still…

Fantasy EPL: Week 20 Review / Week 21 Preview

Week 21 will be played with one fewer game, as the Tottenham vs. West Ham London derby, which was supposed to be played on December 30, was moved to January 4 due to concerns over train traffic and crowd safety that would’ve forced a limited seating at the stadium. That’s a devastating blow for all of you Harry Kane owners out there. Instead, I'm looking at Richarlison, one of the most impressive players of the first half of the season, to end it with a bang. WEEK 20: Fantasy EPL REVIEW The round was marked by Kane, as his…

Fantasy Football: Week 17 Running Back Matchup Report

Todd Gurley and Kareem Hunt have led many fantasy owners to the brink of a championship in 2017. However, they will be both unavailable in Week 17, as they are resting for the NFL playoffs. Needless to say, this will present quite a challenge for fantasy owners who have ridden them to this point. Owners may be forced to bench players or scour the waiver wire for some Week 17 fill-ins. Conversely, Jacksonville coach Doug Marrone has stated that he will not bench his starters, despite their seed already being set in stone.…

Fantasy Football: Week 17 Rankings

One last hurrah together? Fear not fantasy, football fans, the weekly rankings will continue throughout the playoffs. As for Week 17, however, it's a very scarce week, particularly in the running back and wide receiver department, as several teams look to rest their starters. One more week of brilliance could see Jimmy Garoppolo enter the Top 10 quarterback discussion ahead of next season, though ... wouldn't that be a plot twist!? And meanwhile, we do welcome back Ezekiel Elliott for what feels like the three thousandth…

Fantasy Football: Week 17 Wide Receiver Matchup Report

What more can you say about DeAndre Hopkins? He will end the 2017 fantasy football season as the overall WR1, and he capped off his tremendous season with one of the most incredible touchdown catches in recent memory in Houston’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hopkins was one of fantasy’s biggest disappointments in 2016 when he finished as the overall WR36, but he has rebounded in a big way in 2017. Assuming a clean bill of health for Deshaun Watson in 2018, Hopkins is as likely as anyone to finish next season as the…

2018 Player Profile: Nicholas Castellanos

The Curious Case of Nicholas Castellanos We're 2,300 plate appearances into the career of Nicholas Castellanos, and it's odd to think that he is just one month older than Aaron Judge. Despite being around for several years, Castellanos may have found his way in 2017, and the fantasy baseball community is taking notice. He spent the majority of his time at the hot corner last year, but he finished the season in right field. Castellanos took to his new position fairly well, committing only one error is his 20 starts in right…

2018 Fantasy Golf: Sleepers and Value Picks

Like any fantasy sport, golf has its own fantasy sleepers and value picks. Below, you will find eight golfers who fall under the category of "sleeper" or "value pick" for the 2018 season (in no particular order). JB Holmes Current OWGR: 78th PGA.com Fantasy Ranking: 53rd Fall Series Stats: 1 of 2 cuts made, 2nd in SG: Off The Tee, 73.294 scoring average PGA Tour Exempt Status: Through 2016-17 Big things were expected of Holmes in 2017, but he failed to live up to the hype. This year, he comes in at a good value pick.…
