Coaching Hires Tennessee Finally Lands a Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt has been a name circulating in coaching circles since his tenure as the Defensive Coordinator at Florida State. The Vols have been the laughing stock of the college football world since the Greg Schiano debacle. As with most coordinators that…

Fantasy Football: Week 14 Recap

You could make a case for Week 14 as the most exciting week of the 2017 regular season. We had our first blizzard game, the Browns nearly had a win, and some guy called Trey Burton led all tight ends in fantasy points (24.1). Seriously, though, this was a big week for owners, and quite an unpredictable one. There were some big breakout performers that we'd kinda forgotten about, and a few big names that were a real Debbie downer. Here's your recap: Thumbs Up Can the Cowboys actually salvage this thing? They might…

Fantasy EPL: Week 16 Review / Week 17 Preview

We’re back at it again. Another Tuesday/Wednesday EPL bonanza in which Harry Kane could overtake Salah at the top of the scoring chart. But first, let’s review the weekend’s events. WEEK 16: Fantasy EPL REVIEW The Manchester derby was full of tension, but all three goals came from defensive miscues. David Silva opened the scoring after having been left alone in the box during a corner kick. Rashford equalized soon after that, when Delph missed the ball and all he needed to do was beat the goalkeeper one on one, which he…

Weekly Prospect Update: Cleveland Indians

The Cleveland Indians came oh so close two seasons ago, falling just short of a World Championship. After finishing as one of the top teams in baseball last season, they failed to finish the deal once again. Despite falling short, the Indians undoubtedly have one of the best young teams in baseball. What's even more impressive is that the talent is still coming. The Indians have the ability to be very good for a long time and these prospects should play a big role in that. 10. Aaron Civale, RHP Age: 22 Drafted:…

Cubs and Cardinals Add Potential Closers

Brandon Morrow The Cubs added Brandon Morrow to a two-year deal. The 33-year-old-righty joins an already deep bullpen and could be the team’s closer if the season started today. Morrow came out of nowhere last season to be a productive reliever. He pitched in 18 games as a reliever for the Padres in 2016 with a nice 1.69 ERA, while his ERA estimators were closer to 4.50. His 4.5 K/9 added little to his value. He was on no one’s fantasy radar. Then he busted out in 2017 with a 98-mph fastball, which was up 3.5 mph from…

Fantasy Basketball Fast Break (Week of 12/11)

Believe it or not, I don’t have to start this off by telling you that 23 more players got injured this past week. What a refreshing change of pace. And actually, the injury arrow is beginning to turn around as several key fantasy assets are on the mend and nearing returns to the court as you’ll read a little further down. We did have a few new injuries, but none seem overly serious. In other news, the 76ers finally got rid of Jhalil Okafor. After trying to trade him since 1956, the Brooklyn Nets (of course it was…

Top Prospects with Questionable Rankings

Ah, prospects. One of, if not the most exciting things about dynasty baseball, is drafting a young player and watching him develop over the years. We all salivate over a player with 80-grade power like Eloy Jimenez, but there is always a wide range of outcomes when following a prospect’s career. Sometimes it works out and you have the next Bryce Harper on your hands, sometimes it doesn’t work out like with Mark Appel, and sometimes it just takes a while to get there like with Byron Buxton. And while there are always…
