Fantasy Football: Week 6 Running Back Matchup Report

Week 5 was not a banner week for running backs. There were just 15 running backs to have at least 10 fantasy points in Week 5. Perhaps more bizarre is the fact that three of the 15 recorded single-digit rushing yards. Running backs had just 11 rushing touchdowns in Week 5, the lowest total since Week 10 of the 2015 season. Doug Martin’s return was certainly a bright spot. He had 74 rushing yards and a touchdown in his return from a suspension. He looks like he could be a borderline RB1 going forward. There was also some good…

It is never easy to foresee the unforeseen. Injuries happen every day in the NHL, and here at FanTrax, our goal will be to help you try to stay on top of those maladies with our weekly Injury Report. Counting all the latest bumps, bites, and bruises, there were 64 players held out of lineups. Several of those are long-term injuries from a previous year. Fantasy Football: Week 6 Rankings

We see some familiar faces return this week, but also lose the likes of LeSean McCoy, A.J. Green, Dez Bryant and Russell Wilson to the bye. It would be nice to label Week 6 as the most predictable slate of games, but with the Jaguars sitting 3-2, I don't even know anymore. Don't get too down, though! There are plenty of money matchups to take advantage of this week, like the Dolphins' trip to Atlanta or the Browns' visit to Houston. Of course, if the last few weeks have taught us anything, it's that this is a wide-open year…

Fantasy Football: Week 6 Tight End Matchup Report

In Week 4, Ed Dickson had 62 receiving yards. It was his highest total in any game since 2012. Despite becoming the de facto starting tight end for the Carolina Panthers in the wake of Greg Olsen breaking his foot, Dickson’s Week 4 output seemed a bit unsustainable. About that … not only did Dickson improve upon his Week 4 production in Week 5, he nearly tripled it. He recorded a career-high 175 receiving yards. Not only was it a career-high for Dickson, it was the sixth-most receiving yards by a tight end in a single game…

Fantasy Basketball Rankings: Forwards

The forward position in fantasy basketball might not be as sexy or as much fun to draft as guard or center, but that doesn't mean there's not a boatload of talent here. Think of forwards like the safe, trust-worthy option you can be proud of and bring home to mom and dad. With that being said, there's a ton of fantasy studs here in the first few rounds. From a young stud whose name 98% of people can't say or spell to an aging king that seems as strong as ever. The talent goes on and on. There are a plethora of different…

Fantasy Hockey: Streaming Options

Due to small sample sizes and teams just getting accustomed to each other, it's tough to judge how players do early on in the season. This is generally why you should usually be patient with players. However, sometimes, there are players who were put in good situations and just take off for the rest of the season. A prime example is Zach Werenski, who went on to post 47 points as a rookie defenseman last year or Viktor Arvidsson, who started off hot and then kept on going to finish the year with 61 points in 80 games. I like…

Fantasy College Football: Waiver Wire

If you want to have long-term success in fantasy football, you need to work the wire. Here's a look at the top waiver wire adds of the week ... Quarterback Khalil Tate, Arizona -- % Owned: 2% Khalil Tate has patiently awaited his opportunity to take the field for the Wildcats, and boy did he deliver. Tate battled Brandon Dawkins for the starting job at Arizona over the offseason but couldn't ever top him. With Dawkins down, Tate managed to run for 327 yards and four touchdowns while adding 142 yards and a touchdown…

2018 Player Profile: Ozzie Albies

With the 2017 regular season now officially in the rearview mirror, we turn our attention to the 2018 fantasy baseball season. Each week, I will be evaluating one player’s stock for next year. We’ll begin with one of the major’s youngest players, a Braves rookie entering his age-21 season coming off of a fantastic 250 plate appearance debut. Ozzie Albies, Atlanta Braves 2017 statistics: .286/.354/.456, 6 home runs, 8 stolen bases Albies was a consensus top prospect entering the season, ranking 11th overall for Baseball…

Fantasy Football: Week 5 Wrap-Up

The moment you think you have this fantasy thing figured out, it turns around and bites you on the hand. Big-time injuries, more breakout players, and another crazy week in the NFL. In case there was ever any doubt, DeShaun Watson was your highest scoring player on Sunday with 35.8 points. The Texans lost, but 3 TDs to DeAndre Hopkins makes him a legitimate QB1 going forward. Here's your Week 5 recap: Thumbs Up When you're hot, you're hot. Most teams would have settled for overtime, but Aaron Rodgers ain't like the…

NBA Eastern Conference Preview

Less than two weeks. That’s all we have left until we have regular season basketball. Finally. This week I’ll take a look at the Eastern Conference, split into tiers and next week it will be the Western Conference’s turn. First up, a very obvious top two. Tier One 1. Cleveland Cavaliers 2. Boston Celtics This is the championship contender tier. Realistically, you could put the Cavaliers in this tier alone, but I’ll give Boston the benefit of the doubt. Completely flipping their roster could give them a shot at the…
