Preseason Week 2 NFL Injury Report

After an exciting Week 1 of the NFL Preseason, here we are, on the doorsteps of Week 2, and the injuries have already started to mount. It’s important to keep track of who is not playing and why, so as to help you build your teams through the draft.

NFL Training Camp Injury Report

Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews – TE (undisclosed) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason after being involved in a car accident.

Keaton Mitchell – RB (knee) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason after being placed on the PUP List.

Carolina Panthers

Diontae Johnson – WR (groin) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason with a mild groin strain.

Tommy Tremble – TE (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason after missing Week 1.

Ian Thomas – TE (calf) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason.

Cincinnati Bengals

Ja’Marr Chase – WR (undisclosed) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason with an unidentified situation (possibly contract extension), as the team is taking things one day at a time.

Jake Browning – QB (rib) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason with a rib injury sustained in the preseason opener.

Cleveland Browns

Nick Chubb (knee) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason after being placed on the PUP List.

Detroit Lions

Sam LaPorta – TE (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason after missing Week 1’s game and needing time to practice.

Jahmyr Gibbs – RB (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason, though the team believes that he will be fine.

Green Bay Packers

Tucker Kraft – TE (pectoral) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason, but expects to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.

Houston Texans

Noah Brown – WR (shoulder) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason, but is close to returning.

Indianapolis Colts

Trey Sermon – RB (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason after sustaining an injury in the opener last week and no return in sight.

Kansas City Chiefs

Clyde Edwards-Helaire – RB (illness) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason with an illness that has kept him out of practice this week.

Marquise Brown – WR (shoulder) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason and is expected to miss anywhere between four to six weeks of action with a sternoclavicular injury sustained in last week’s preseason opener.

Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert – QB (plantar fascia) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason, but expected to be ready for the start of the season.

Los Angeles Rams

Puka Nacua – WR (knee) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason, but likely to play in Week 1 of the regular season.

Tyler Higbee – TE (knee) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason, but could be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.

Matthew Stafford – QB (hamstring) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason with a hamstring injury, with the severity of the situation unknown.

Miami Dolphins

Jaylen Waddle – WR (undisclosed) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason, as he returned to practice this week.

Odell Beckham – WR (undisclosed) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason, and while he isn’t running routes, it’s nothing too concerning.

Minnesota Vikings

TJ Hockenson – TE (knee) – OUT for Week 1 of the preseason and could miss up to seven games.

Jordan Addison – WR (ankle) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason after being carted off of the field at practice with what could be described as nothing too serious.

New England Patriots

Hunter Henry – TE (undisclosed) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason with an injury sustained last weekend.

Kendrick Bourne – WR (knee) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason as he is on the PUP List.

New Orleans Saints

Alvin Kamara – RB (back) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason after missing practice this week.

Equanimeous St. Brown – WR (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason as he has not been cleared for contact.

Kendre Miller – RB (hamstring) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason, as coach Dennis Allen is still concerned about him making the team.

New York Giants

Drew Lock – QB (hip) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason, as he is feeling better.

Maile Nabers – WR (ankle) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason with an ankle sprain, but he feels like he will be ready for Week 1 of the season.

New York Jets

Mike Williams – WR (knee) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason, but his status for Week 1 of the regular season is improving.

San Francisco Giants

Christian McCaffrey (calf) – OUT for Week 21 of the preseason but his status for Week 1 of the regular season isn’t likely to be jeopardized.

Seattle Seahawks

Noah Fant – TE (foot) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason but he did return to practice this week in a limited fashion.

Noah Charbonnet – RB (undisclosed) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason after missing practice this week.

Tyler Lockett – WR (leg) – QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 of the preseason with an injury that isn’t believed to be serious.

Tennessee Titans

DeAndre Hopkins – WR (knee) – OUT for Week 2 of the preseason and will miss additional weeks with an injury that won’t require surgery.

Injured Reserve

Rondale Moore – WR Atlanta Falcons (knee) – OUT for the season.

Chase Claypool – WR Buffalo Bills (toe) – OUT for the season.

J.J. McCarthy – QB (knee) – OUT for the season.
