Fantasy Basketball Fast Break (Week of 1/1)

It looks like we’re going to end 2017 on a positive note. Fantasy owners just got back Blake Griffin, Devin Booker, and Steph Curry, while the season debut of Isaiah Thomas is right around the corner. Thomas is the one I want to chat about here for a second. His return is both exciting and intriguing. There's plenty of excitement from his fantasy owners that drafted him back in the fall and have held onto him all this time. I'm not included in that, but I'm sure I'd be pretty darn excited to get a player of his magnitude…

Fantasy EPL: Round 21 Review / Round 22 Preview

There are two points of emphasis regarding this round. The first one is that Tottenham and West Ham will play two games each, and the second one being that a lot of regular starters will be rested due to the fixture density during the holidays. I’m suggesting you check to see if Okazaki is available in your leagues, as he’s a player who could soften the blow of all the absentees. ROUND 21: Fantasy EPL REVIEW Two surprises, three goalless draws and wins for Liverpool and Chelsea. That’s the sum of EPL’s Saturday. The Blues…

2018 Player Profile: Zack Godley

With the 2017 season now officially in the rearview mirror, and with the Houston Astros first-time champions, we turn our attention to the 2018 fantasy baseball season. Zack Godley, Arizona Diamondbacks 2017 statistics: 25 GS, 155 IP, 3.37 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 9.6 K/9, 3.1 BB/9, 3.41 FIP General Overview Entering his…

Fantasy Football: Week 17 Quarterback Matchup Report

The vast majority of fantasy leagues have already wrapped up their season, but for those of you still going this week, good luck. Week 17 is always tricky to fill a full, yet competitive roster. Many teams with nothing to play for this weekend will rest their star players to avoid unnecessary injuries. This is especially true at the quarterback position. This year, we have three confirmed to be sitting and two more likely to only play a part of the game. Four of these five players below are in the QB1 discussion week in…

Rockies Fill Closer Vacancy with Wade Davis

The Rockies signed Wade Davis to be their closer for the next three or four seasons. The 32-year-old righty performed great for the Cubs last season, posting a 2.30 ERA, 12.1 K/9, and 32 saves. The Rockies hope Davis will be able to continue the high-level production into his mid-30s.The biggest change for Davis, compared to his time closing for the Royals and Cubs, will be a projected increase in his WHIP and ERA because of Colorado’s high home field BABIP. His ERA will likely get bumped up a half a run. He's still…
