NFL Team Needs: NFC South

It seemed like every week the teams from the NFC South were causing a ruckus. It started early with Adrian Peterson barking at head coach Sean Payton for playing time. His exit from the team was the catalyst for Alvin Kamara's emergence and the creation of "Boom and Zoom." The ruckus continued with the Kelvin Benjamin trade while Greg Olsen recovered from a foot injury suffered in Week 2. In his stead, rookie Christian McCaffrey and Devin Funchess began to show up in highlight reels running fake wheel routes. Julio Jones…

Fantasy Football: Week 8 Quarterback Matchup Report

What in the name of Peyton Manning’s large forehead is going on with Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons offense? They had a juicy matchup with a hobbled New England secondary and could muster only seven points? What’s up with that Matty Ice? Oh, I know. Your offensive coordinator is a joke. There’s too much talent on this offense to bench Ryan, but this is starting to get worrisome. This is the first week with six teams on a bye, leaving us with only 26 QBs on the docket for Week 8. Owners in 2-QB leagues or those who like…

Fantasy Football: Week 7 Quarterback Matchup Report

Are Aaron Rodgers owners done mourning his season-ending injury yet? No, probably not. Week 6 was a rough one at the top. Rodgers broke his right collarbone, ending his season, and both Tom Brady and Drew Brees looked like mortals despite each having a plus matchup. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there, WITH A NEW COLLARBONE! Sorry Aaron, didn’t work. Stepping in under center in Green Bay is the incredibly uninspiring Brett Hundley. No thanks. We only have two QBs on a bye this week but one of them happens to be the…

Fantasy Football: Week 6 Quarterback Matchup Report

With one major exception, Week 5 was an all-around solid week for the quarterback position in fantasy. A total of nine QBs threw for over 300 yards, which is the second most this season behind 10 in Week 3. One of those nine players was Ben Roethlisberger. Not surprising, right? Well, he paired five interceptions with his 300-yard effort. Oh yeah, no touchdowns, either. Big Ben just hasn’t looked the same this season and is definitely not worth starting in single-QB leagues anymore. On the other end of the spectrum last…

2017 NFL Mock Draft (2.0)

With the 2017 NFL Draft on the horizon (it starts on Thursday), I have decided to put together a Mock Draft of the first round.  This is all in fun as it seems almost everyone has an opinion on what teams will do in the draft and they are usually wrong.  Here is the way I think it will go, barring trades:Also, check out Jim Bay's Mock Draft HereCleveland Browns - Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M - The Browns suffered through a horrible 1-15 season in 2016, so they earned this pick.  With it they do the smart thing…
