Back to New York we go on Thursday night. It’s another divisional rivalry matchup, but this time, it’s the Dallas Cowboys taking on the New York Giants. Based on Week 3, these are two teams going in opposite directions, but how much stock can we really put into that? We know things change on a weekly basis, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try and predict the future. From the DFS perspective, we only care about player performances, and you are covered there. Let’s jump into some Thursday Night Football DFS picks with preferences ranked within each category.
Thursday Night Football DFS Picks – Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants
Captain
Ceedee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
The first half of Sunday’s game didn’t go especially well for the Dallas Cowboys. That was certainly the case for Ceedee Lamb as well. It was abundantly clear as Lamb’s displeasure was on display during the game. While the Cowboys did make it interesting in the second half, they failed to emerge victorious.
From an individual standpoint, Lamb caught four of his seven targets for 67 yards. It also ran contrary as Lamb’s production came prior to his outburst and not when Dallas was working to get back into the game. Lamb is still the number one target on Dallas’ offense even if he has yet to fully break out this season. Overall, he has 13 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown through the first three games, and that is not the elite production we are expecting.
For Dallas to be successful, they have to target and feature Lamb. It’s a short turnaround to Thursday’s game, and Lamb’s ability in the slot could be problematic for New York. The Giants are beat up in the secondary, and that could lead to a big game for Lamb.
Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants
You can say whatever you want about the Giants offense, but there is no questioning who the focal point is. If New York goes down, it won’t be because of their lack of desire or effort in getting the ball to Malik Nabers.
The rookie got off to a mild start by catching five of his seven targets for 66 yards in his debut. He parlayed that into catching 10 of 18 targets for 127 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Nabers did have a crucial drop late in the game, but the Giants likely wouldn’t have been there without his efforts earlier in the game. Last week, the Giants again made it no secret that they were planning their offense around Nabers. They didn’t run into much resistance as he caught eight passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
We can expect a similar performance in Week 4 as the targets will be plentiful.

Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants
With two touchdowns in each of the last two games, Daniel Jones looks a whole lot different than he did in Week 1. Now this doesn’t mean that I’m ready to classify him as a top quarterback, but the production has been solid.
To begin the season, Dallas has allowed the sixth most DFS points to opposing quarterbacks, and that helps here as well. Jones continues to establish chemistry with Nabers, and the Giants offense as a whole is getting better. Jones has yet to do much on the ground, but he is looking like a competent passer. To keep up with the Cowboys, Jones will have to at least make a few plays.
Devin Singletary, RB, New York Giants
It has been a rough start to the season for the Cowboys. One area of note is that they are also allowing the most DFS points in the league to opposing running backs.
Another thing that the Giants have made clear is that Devin Singletary is their lead back. In each of the last two weeks, Singletary has 16 carries for 95 and 65 yards, respectively. Singletary also has a touchdown in each of those games while adding four receptions for 43 yards last week. The one problem is that he has lost a fumble in each of the last two games. It’s a favorable matchup for Singletary and he’ll get enough work to capitalize.
Rico Dowdle, RB, Dallas Cowboys
Game flow had something to do with it on Sunday, but Ezekiel Elliot only had three carries. He has gone from 10 to six, to now three to begin the season. Elliot hasn’t averaged more than four yards per carry in a game while catching only five passes combined. That means, especially after the Cowboys have been struggling, that we are getting closer to it being Rico Dowdle time.
Dowdle has 23 carries for 88 yards to begin the season while catching eight passes for another 59 yards. Not only has Dowdle been more efficient with his carries, but he is more proficient in the receiving game. As the Cowboys are looking to turn things around, they will need a spark out of their backfield.
Brandon Aubrey, K, Dallas Cowboys
We are now up to five field goals of more than 50 yards for Brandon Aubrey this season. And that is through just three weeks of the season. In total, Aubrey is perfect on all 10 of his field goal attempts and has another four more from beyond 40 yards. With a long field goal of 65 yards, it’s hard to argue with Aubrey’s leg strength or accuracy.
Value
Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, New York Giants
While we haven’t seen many big plays from Wan’Dale Robinson to this point, the workload and target share has been there. Last week, Robinson caught seven of eight targets for 61 yards. that came after he was targeted 12 times in Week 1 which led to six receptions for 44 yards. Jones will continue to target Robinson, and there is a solid floor from a PPR perspective.
Fade
Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
Quarterbacks don’t come cheaply, and that is the case again with Dak Prescott. The majority of Prescott’s production last week came in garbage time as he finished with 379 passing yards. However, it was another inefficient passing game for the quarterback who did finish with two touchdowns.
The Giants defense did look strong last week and Prescott hasn’t been especially sharp to begin the year. Now, he will have to work through a short turnaround to Thursday’s game.
