We’re gonna get to the Top 100 Fantasy Basketball Dynasty Rankings, but first…
A hypothetical for you:
You’re the proud owner of James Harden.
Nice! What an asset!
A proven fantasy top-liner who, despite the concerns about his move to the Nets, seems to be ascending to an even greater fantasy level in recent weeks.
Consider that Brooklyn bullet dodged!
But, whilst basking in your own glory and fervently patting yourself on the back for not panic-trading Harden, you receive a Fantrax notification – a pending transaction.
Straight swap: Harden for Trae Young.
Now, if you’re a standard league owner, a re-drafter at the end of each season, it’s likely not worth too much consideration – it’s a no.
But, if you’re a dynasty league operator, the structural integrity of:
- Your phone screen
- Your clickpad
- Your mouse
- Whatever alternative device you use to access Fantrax
…should come into question as you smash ‘Accept’.
Trae being nearly a decade younger than James, with comparable enough production numbers – it has to be a yes.
Dynasty leagues are a different kettle of fish when it comes to player valuations, player rankings are ultimately largely subjective and therefore, undoubtedly, the cause of much-heated debate across leagues.
So, having now acknowledged how much rankings can polarise owners, I would like to present to you my top 100 fantasy basketball dynasty rankings.
In collating this list, I have considered the following key six criteria:
- Age/number of remaining seasons
- Current ranking
- Scope for improvement
- Position in environment with current team
- Injury history
- The feeling in my bones (remember what I said about the subjectivity involved in such matters?!)
So, without further ado. Here. We. Go.

Jonathan Issac so nice you had to put him twice? He’s at 38 and 56. Weird gap
