Week 10 CFF Waiver Wire, Best/Worst Matchups for Week 11, and More!!!

Week 10 was likely the most entertaining slate of games that we will get until this bowl season and definitely made it worth our while with some intriguing upsets, statement wins, and unfortunately injuries. With injuries to Tyler Huntley and JaTarvious Whitlow drawing headlines heading into Week 11, I want to give you some power plays from the CFF waiver wire for this week so you can get a strong push going into the playoffs.

CFF Waiver Wire

Quarterback

Ross Comis, UMass

Ownership: 3%

The UMass quarterback position has been largely unsettled all season long with Ross Comis and Andrew Ford splitting time in most games. Ford is done for the season with a torn meniscus and Comis made himself a must-own player with a 50-point performance against Liberty this past week. Comis should have a huge week against BYU before hitting the road to take on Georgia between the hedges.

Gus Ragland, Miami (OH)

Ownership: 9%

As a fantasy owner, it’s hard to ignore a player who has accounted for four touchdowns in each of the previous two contests. Gus Ragland has done just that with four passing and four rushing touchdowns in the previous two weeks against tougher competition in Buffalo and Army. With Ragland coming on like this late, you can’t afford to leave him on the waiver wire against Ohio, Northern Illinois, and Ball State in the coming weeks.

Others to Consider

Brock Purdy Iowa State, 25%; Jett Duffey Texas Tech, 22%; David Blough Purdue, 27%

Running Backs

Trey Sermon, Oklahoma

Ownership: 35%

I saw the ownership numbers for Trey Sermon and was astounded at the number of people who abandoned the back with the emergence of Kennedy Brooks. Sermon is competing for time with Brooks, but Oklahoma has utilized two backs for multiple seasons and guys like Semaje Perine and Joe Mixon made it work for multiple seasons.

Travis Levy, Boston College

Ownership: 6%

This may be more of a conditional pick up with AJ Dillon’s injury issues this season. Dillon missed a lot of time over the past month or so while dealing with a leg injury and Ben Glines took over his production. Glines’ costly fumble against NC State has paved the way for Travis Levy to take over. Levy rushed for 75 yards and two scores in relief of Dillon against Virginia Tech last Saturday and practically won them the game. Levy would be a sit against Clemson this week but could be a big play if Dillon is out against Florida State and Syracuse.

Deon Jackson, Duke

Ownership: 4%

Duke’s running game had been hit or miss all season long with Brittain Brown and Deon Jackson and it seems as though something has turned on for the latter over the last two weeks. Jackson has only gotten 24 carries over the last two weeks but he’s taken off for 275 yards and a score. His touches did increase from week nine to week ten and if they increase again against North Carolina then he won’t be near this available again in the playoffs.

Others to Consider

Bryant Koback Toledo, 3%; Darius Bradwell Tulane, 11%; DeAndre Torrey North Texas, 15%

Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

Damion Willis, Troy

Ownership: 4%

Troy started off this season with a bit of a dip in production which makes a lot of sense considering they lost quarterback Brandon Silvers and running back Jordan Chunn. Sawyer Smith took the starting spot away from Kaleb Barker several weeks ago and seems to have taken a liking to wide receiver Damion Willis. Willis has 16 receptions over the last two games for 345 yards and three touchdowns. If you’re needing that last receiver to make it through the playoffs, Willis is your guy.

Rashod Bateman, Minnesota

Ownership: 2%

So Minnesota might not be a juggernaut in the passing game but they have picked up production under Tanner Morgan in the past several weeks. Tyler Johnson is the main beneficiary in the passing game but a certain Freshman by the name of Rashod Bateman has really stepped up with Morgan slinging the ball. Bateman has had 11 receptions over the last two weeks and capitalized on them by going for 283 yards and three scores.

Jalen Reagor, TCU

Ownership: 36%

So TCU hasn’t exactly played lights out football in the past several weeks and the loss to Kansas wasn’t exactly a highlight on their season. On a lighter note, UPenn-transfer Michael Collins took over for Shawn Robinson, who is out for the season after a shoulder surgery and has taken a liking to Jalen Reagor. Reagor has caught a touchdown pass in the last four games and is the undisputed number one receiver with the departure od Kavontae Turnpin.

Others to Consider

Reggie Roberson SMU, 22%; Kahale Warring SDSU, 3%; Terry Wright Purdue, 0%
