There are just four more Sunday slates to secure a spot in your league’s playoffs. It doesn’t help that 16 teams are on bye across three out of four of them. Fantasy managers everywhere will be looking to players that aren’t under usual consideration. These three Week 11 bold prediction players are three I feel better about than most.
Week 11 Bold Predictions for the 2024 Fantasy Football Season
Russell Wilson, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Bold Prediction: 300 passing yards, 3 touchdowns
24.0 fantasy points
Week 11 will be the first AFC North divisional matchup for Russell Wilson and the Steelers this season. It’s the first of four in a row. As far as matchups go, the Baltimore Ravens in Pittsburgh this week is arguably the best during this stretch. The Ravens are the only defense to allow more than 3,000 total passing yards to their opponents this season. They have allowed over 300 more total passing yards than the next closest team.
Conversely, the Ravens have allowed the least amount of rushing yards per game (73.0) in the league. Though Najee Harris is set to play in Week 11, he has been battling an ankle injury. Additionally, Jaylen Warren is questionable with a back injury. Russell Wilson and the Steelers may lean heavily on the pass for these reasons.
Getting Mike Williams more involved in his second game with the Steelers is also a boost for this Russell Wilson bold prediction. Williams played just nine snaps in his debut. He caught the 32-yard gaming-winning touchdown.
If you’re streaming the quarterback position, Russell Wilson has a great chance to finish in the top 10 this week. The Steelers and Ravens game has an Over/Under of 48.5 points, the highest in the league. Wilson has a strong opportunity to exploit an advantageous matchup and rack up fantasy points.
Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns
Bold Prediction: 18 carries, 90 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns
21.0 fantasy points
In a week with multiple usual starters at the running back position out on bye, Nick Chubb goes from a depth piece on most rosters to a potential spot start. In three games since his return from last season’s ACL injury, Chubb has logged a higher running back rush share in every game that he’s played. He and the Browns will exit their bye week to take on the Saints in New Orleans.
The Saints’ defense ranks sixth in rushing yards allowed to running backs this season. They’re allowing 4.94 yards per carry. With three games under his belt, and an extra week’s worth of rest, Chubb should make the most of his volume in Week 11. Both Chuba Hubbard and Bijan Robinson have rushed for over 70 yards and two touchdowns each over the last two weeks. My Week 11 bold prediction is that Nick Chubb is next to do so. He has rushed for just 113 yards and one touchdown in three games this season.
Dawson Knox, TE, Buffalo Bills
Bold Prediction: 6 receptions, 50 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
17.0 fantasy points
It’s already an obvious Week 11 bold prediction to pick Dawson Knox who has just 10 receptions for 142 yards and one touchdown this season. He is seventh in total targets amongst all Bills this season. More importantly, tight end Dalton Kincaid has 43 more targets than Knox this season. Picking up and plugging Knox into your Week 11 lineup, likely with a playoff spot on the line, definitely constitutes a bold prediction.
The stars are aligning for Knox in Week 11, however. Dalton Kincaid is going to miss this home matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs due to a knee injury. Rookie receiver, Keon Coleman, also remains out with a wrist injury. Amari Cooper is questionable with a wrist injury of his own. If he plays, he may even have a cast on! So, not only with Knox get the start at tight end, but his role in the passing game should include a fantasy-friendly target share.
It’s never a bad idea to target a tight end with one of the best quarterbacks in the league. In this case, Knox also has one of the best matchups in the league. The Chiefs have allowed the most receiving yards and the third-most receptions to tight ends this season. In what should be a competitive game, Allen should be required to throw the ball more than his 29.9 pass attempts per game average this season. It’s worth noting Allen has averaged 35.75 attempts over his last four games and the Bills have scored at least 30 points in all of them.
Trey McBride, Cade Otton, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and Theo Johnson are all on a Week 11 bye. Sam LaPorta and Dalton Kincaid are out, with a few others questionable. Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz have already played. Assuming you’re taking a swing on tight end streamer for Week 11, Knox has a better chance than most to cash in on a bold prediction.
