This week in fantasy hockey there are solid options that are hopefully available for you to jump on. Some starters either haven’t been noticed or have been surprisingly passed over by too many other managers. In Week 11, we have three starters that should be not only streamed, but owned at the moment.
Fantasy Hockey Week 11 Goalie Streams
Mackenzie Blackwood, Colorado Avalanche
Mackenzie Blackwood was traded from the San Jose Sharks to the Colorado Avalanche last week and he needs to be an immediate addition to your team, even if just for trade bait. He has consistently put up impressive numbers from one of the worst teams in the league the last season and a half and was moved from a bottom-feeder to a team that can score at will and win games with average goaltending.
Blackwood won his first game as a member of the Avalanche, making 38 saves. That puts him at a .912 SV% on the season. He has a SV% of at least .942 in four of his previous five games as well. The former Sharks goalie is the starter in Colorado and the team plays four games this week. These games come against the Vancouver Canucks, Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, and Seattle Kraken. At the very least, he should get two starts, but I think it will be likely he plays three times if he plays well enough. Blackwood should pull the start against his former team on the front half of the back-to-back.
Karel Vejmelka, Utah HC
Karel Vejmelka has been underappreciated this season in that he has done great work for the Utah HC while Connor Ingram has been injured. Vejmelka dropped off last season and lost the starting job, but he has more than earned it back this season. When Ingram comes back down the line, these two will split starts. Having said that, Utah’s current starter has not been fortunate to have the goal support when he’s started. He has six wins through 15 starts.
Vejmelka has won two games in a row and three of the last four though, so things are looking up heading into a week where he will have to stand tall. With just three games on tap and a little bit of a break before the first matchup on Wednesday, Utah faces the Canucks, Minnesota Wild, and Ducks. The Canucks have been a very up-and-down team, the Wild are good, and the Ducks are not. Vejmelka has a 2.40 GAA and .915 SV% on the season, so he puts up great numbers no matter which team he faces.
Tristan Jarry, Pittsburgh Penguins
Since returning to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Tristan Jarry has been solid in net. With the team not being very good, the starter has done what he can. At the very least, he has helped the Penguins get back in the race by winning five of his last seven starts. He is back in form as the number one in Pittsburgh as he has started four in a row and seven of the last nine games.
Jarry may have an .885 SV% on the season, but he is 5-1-1 and has an .899 SV% in his last seven games. It isn’t the greatest, but he is getting the job done and the Penguins should have at least one win ahead of them this week with one of their opponents being the Nashville Predators. The other two opponents are the Los Angeles Kings and the New Jersey Devils, but neither are untouchable. Jerry is the best pure streaming option here. The other two are candidates to add and hold onto for longer.

These goalies should be available in around 50% of fantasy hockey leagues and any of them are recommended if you are struggling in net and/or need more starts this week. Make sure to check back every week for more goalie suggestions.
