Lineup decisions are often tough calls, so here are my Week 11 flex rankings listing the top-100 PPR options at running back, wide receiver, and tight end. With a lot of injured players questionable to play, including big names like Adam Thielen, T.Y. Hilton, George Kittle, and more, make sure to check back for injury updates before finalizing lineups. Also, four teams are on bye this week, so get your Packers, Titans, Giants, and Seahawks out of your lineups. Good luck with your matchups this week!

Shooting for Shootouts
Atlanta at Carolina has the fourth-highest over/under this week per Vegas, which makes sense given the poor state of both defenses. James Bradberry will most likely be out or limited with a groin injury, which could lead to a monster day for Julio Jones, who should see even more targets than usual with Austin Hooper out. Calvin Ridley could benefit as well, but don’t forget about Russell Gage, who is an intriguing play in DFS this week. Gage has accounted for 14 targets since the Falcons traded away Mohamed Sanu, and he was already the second-most targeted player behind Jones last week against the Saints. Brian Hill is also sure to be started in plenty of redraft and DFS lineups this week, as he should be. Carolina is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs thus far on the season, and Hill should see the majority of the touches in the Atlanta backfield with Devonta Freeman sidelined.
On the other side, Christian McCaffrey should always be in starting lineups, but both D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel have excellent opportunities this week against Atlanta’s outmatched cornerbacks, Desmond Trufant and Isaiah Oliver. Despite the Saints’ 26-9 loss to the Falcons last week, Michael Thomas racked up 13 catches for 152 yards on 14 targets. Atlanta’s defense is the second-worst in the league in terms of passing defense-adjusted value over average (DVOA) this season per Football Outsiders. And even though the Falcons’ pass rush ate up Drew Brees last week, Kyle Allen is a decent streaming option at quarterback this week, as he’s a more mobile quarterback than Brees and has shown a fair level of elusiveness, even when defenders get a hand on him in the backfield.
Benching Big Names?
It’s time to consider David Johnson as just a matchup-dependent flex play at this point. After a hot start to the season averaging 20.2 points per game in PPR through Week 7, Johnson’s back and ankle injuries have completely derailed his fantasy value. Though healthy enough to play last week, Johnson was hesitant and completely ineffective, albeit against an elite Tampa Bay run defense. Even so, he was benched midway through the game due to his poor performance. San Francisco is not much easier to run on, but the bigger concern at this point is the increasing workload being given to Kenyan Drake. Drake has looked more explosive since his addition to the roster from Miami, and he’s handling more work as a receiver, which severely limits Johnson’s production and upside. Johnson shouldn’t be started this week against the 49ers outside of deep leagues.
DeVante Parker has quietly been the WR14 in PPR formats over the last four weeks, and his ownership percentage has shot up to 44 percent in ESPN leagues and 58 percent in Yahoo leagues as of this writing. Ryan Fitzpatrick has targeted Parker early and often, especially following the season-ending injury to Preston Williams. However, for teams who have been reluctantly relying on Parker at wide receiver or in a flex spot, this is not the week to go back to that well. With Williams out, Parker is sure to see extensive coverage from Tre’Davious White and a Buffalo secondary giving up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. For teams with enough bench space though, it may be worth holding onto Parker through these next two weeks for the fantasy playoffs. The Dolphins will play against the Jets, Giants, and Bengals from Weeks 14 to 16, all of whom have porous secondaries and are great matchups for opposing wide receivers.
Week 11 Flex Rankings (PPR)
Notable injured players currently assumed to be OUT for this week include Devonta Freeman, Matt Breida, Chris Thompson, Adam Thielen, T.Y. Hilton, Marquise Brown, Brandin Cooks, Emmanuel Sanders, Will Fuller, Alshon Jeffery, A.J. Green, George Kittle, and Austin Hooper. Rankings will be updated as injury news and practice updates are received.

Rank | Player | Pos | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
| Christian McCaffrey | RB | |
| Michael Thomas | WR | |
| Dalvin Cook | RB | |
| Ezekiel Elliott | RB | |
| DeAndre Hopkins | WR | |
| Josh Jacobs | RB | Jacobs has been a workhorse on the ground, averaging 20 carries since OAK's bye. CIN gives up the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing RBs. |
| Tyreek Hill | WR | The Chargers are a tough matchup for opposing WRs, but Hill is an every-week WR1 regardless of matchup. |
| Melvin Gordon | RB | |
| Mike Evans | WR | With Marshon Lattimore likely out with a hamstring injury, there's little concern of another shutout. Fire up Evans as a WR1 with confidence. |
| Amari Cooper | WR | |
| Julian Edelman | WR | Expect NE to exploit PHI's weakness, their secondary. Even with the addition of Sanu, Edelman leads NE in targets with 22 over the last two games. |
| Julio Jones | WR | Even with a tough matchups vs James Bradberry, Jones should be a target magnet with Austin Hooper out and should be a high-floor WR1 in PPR. |
| Alvin Kamara | RB | |
| Keenan Allen | WR | |
| Leonard Fournette | RB | |
| James Conner | RB | CLE's run defense is near the bottom of the league, and Conner should resume a heavy workload as a runner and receiver now that he's healthy. |
| Chris Godwin | WR | |
| Travis Kelce | TE | |
| Le'Veon Bell | RB | |
| Devin Singletary | RB | Singletary has assumed the 1A role in BUF's backfield and faces a MIA defense that's 3rd worst in the league in terms of rushing DVOA. |
| Darren Waller | TE | |
| Nick Chubb | RB | |
| Joe Mixon | RB | |
| Cooper Kupp | WR | Kupp has another difficult matchup after being shut out vs PIT, but expect Sean McVay to adjust his scheme this week to free up Kupp and remedy this. |
| James White | RB | Expect Belichick to get White involved on a lot of short passes and designed screens rather than stubbornly running Michel at PHI's top-10 run defense. |
| Austin Ekeler | RB | |
| Mohamed Sanu | WR | Edelman and White should soak up a lot of targets, but a likely pass-heavy approach vs PHI should still leave enough targets left over for Sanu. |
| D.J. Moore | WR | ATL's defense is the 2nd worst in terms of passing DVOA thus far, and Moore is averaging 10 targets per game the last 3 weeks since CAR's bye. |
| Hunter Henry | TE | |
| Tyrell Williams | WR | |
| Tyler Boyd | WR | If OAK gets a big lead by the second half, there could be plenty of garbage time targets for Boyd, who Finley targeted a team-high 8 times vs BAL. |
| Mark Andrews | TE | |
| John Brown | WR | |
| Brian Hill | RB | CAR is allowing the 4th most fantasy points to opposing RBs thus far, and Hill should see a heavy workload as ATL's lead back with Freeman out. |
| Marquise Brown | WR | This game has shootout potential, and Brown is BAL's top WR facing a HOU secondary giving up the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing WRs. |
| Odell Beckham Jr. | WR | PIT just shut down Cooper Kupp, but Beckham still has a decent floor due to CLE's renewed commitment to feeding their best WR after 12 targets vs BUF. |
| JuJu Smith-Schuster | WR | |
| Marlon Mack | RB | |
| Todd Gurley | RB | CHI's def is missing two key run-stoppers in Hicks and Trevathan, but LAR's offensive line is missing two starters too. Gurley is a risk/reward RB2. |
| Stefon Diggs | WR | Chris Harris Jr. will likely shadow Diggs with Thielen out, and DEN hasn't allowed 100 yards to a WR since Week 1. Diggs is a low-upside WR2. |
| Mark Ingram | RB | |
| Kenny Golladay | WR | |
| Tevin Coleman | RB | Coleman struggled vs ARI two weeks ago, but this time he has two offensive line starters and Pro Bowl FB Kyle Juszczyk back healthy to lead the way. |
| Deebo Samuel | WR | Assuming Emmanuel Sanders is out, Samuel is likely to see another heavy target share as he did vs SEA vs a struggling ARI secondary. |
| Damien Williams | RB | |
| Terry McLaurin | WR | |
| Curtis Samuel | WR | See Moore, D.J. above and apply the same principles to Samuel. ATL vs CAR should be a high-scoring affair, giving both CAR WRs fantasy upside. |
| Michael Gallup | WR | |
| Carlos Hyde | RB | |
| Robert Woods | WR | |
| Allen Robinson | WR | Expected to face off vs Jalen Ramsey, Robinson is talented enough to win on some routes, but do you trust Mitch Trubisky to accurately target him? |
| Courtland Sutton | WR | |
| Ross Dwelley | TE | If George Kittle misses another week, Dwelley has an ideal matchup vs an ARI defense that allows the most fantasy points to opposing TEs. |
| Phillip Dorsett | WR | |
| Calvin Ridley | WR | |
| T.J. Hockenson | TE | Regardless of QB, Hockenson has upside vs a DAL defense that allows the 3rd most fantasy points to TEs and just gave up 2 TDs to Kyle Rudolph. |
| Frank Gore | RB | |
| Marvin Jones | WR | |
| Christian Kirk | WR | |
| Jamison Crowder | WR | Revenge game narrative aside, Crowder is Darnold's most reliable WR and has eclipsed 80 yards and a TD for two straight weeks now. |
| Jared Cook | TE | |
| Ronald Jones | RB | |
| Kenny Stills | WR | Assuming Will Fuller is still out with a hamstring injury, Stills should maintain his role as the deep threat for another week in a likely high-scoring game. |
| Zach Ertz | TE | |
| Miles Sanders | RB | NE's defense has had some trouble bottling up receiving backs, and Jordan Howard potentially out could cede even more touches to Sanders. |
| Jarvis Landry | WR | |
| Derrius Guice | RB | Thompson is likely out again, and Guice is expected to rotate in with Peterson. He should at least have the receiving role, giving him PPR upside. |
| LeSean McCoy | RB | |
| D.J. Chark | WR | |
| Kenyan Drake | RB | |
| Sony Michel | RB | |
| Mike Williams | WR | |
| Kareem Hunt | RB | Hunt was heavily involved as a receiver in his first game back vs BUF, and CLE is using a lot of formations with Chubb and Hunt on the field together. |
| Phillip Lindsay | RB | |
| DeVante Parker | WR | Parker is likely to face off vs Tre'Davious White with Preston Williams out. He has little fantasy upside even if he sees a large target share from Fitzpatrick. |
| Duke Johnson | RB | |
| Demaryius Thomas | WR | |
| Randall Cobb | WR | |
| Russell Gage | WR | |
| David Johnson | RB | Johnson looked sluggish vs TB and was benched in favor of Drake. Even if he gets touches, SF allows the 3rd fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs. |
| Sammy Watkins | WR | |
| David Montgomery | RB | Already facing a tough Rams run defense, Montgomery's lack of receptions and limited practice status from an ankle injury drop him further in the ranks. |
| Hunter Renfrow | WR | |
| Adrian Peterson | RB | |
| Mecole Hardman | WR | With 3 TDs in 4 weeks, Hardman is a boom or bust flex option who could get more looks this week if the Chargers try to double team Tyreek Hill. |
| Auden Tate | WR | Like Boyd, Tate could benefit from garbage time in the second half vs an OAK secondary giving up the 7th most fantasy points to opposing WRs. |
| Royce Freeman | RB | |
| J.D. McKissic | RB | Ty Johnson might be back from his concussion, but McKissic handles the more valuable pass-catching role anyway for PPR formats. |
| Larry Fitzgerald | WR | |
| Ted Ginn Jr. | WR | Ginn is as boom or bust as they come, but TB's secondary is the worst in the league and allowed over 300 yards and 3 TDs to ARI's WRs last week. |
| Tarik Cohen | RB | |
| Raheem Mostert | RB | With Matt Breida likely out, Mostert will likely resume his duties as the 1B to Tevin Coleman's 1A, offering some upside vs a beatable ARI front seven. |
| Kalen Ballage | RB | It may not be pretty, but Ballage should handle another heavy workload vs an iffy BUF run defense allowing 150 rushing yards per game since their bye. |
| Jaylen Samuels | RB | |
| Peyton Barber | RB | If you're desperate, Barber is still handling goal-line carries for TB, but the bad news is NO has allowed just 3 rushing TDs this year to opposing RBs. |
| Diontae Johnson | WR | |
| Kendrick Bourne | WR | |
| Jeff Wilson Jr. | RB | When one of Coleman or Breida has been absent, Wilson Jr. has handled some goal-line touches. He has some TD upside vs ARI if you're desperate. |
| Chris Conley | WR | |
| Dede Westbrook | WR |
