The EPL Waiver Wire is back on another quick turnaround for EPL Fantrax managers. Rotation was a big factor mid-week, and it should be again over the weekend.
As the season goes, the pool of quality available players shrinks. Week 14 suggestion Kevin Scade had an assist mid-week to continue his hot streak. Colvill was rested, although Chelsea dominated as predicted. Liverpool conceded more than two goals for the first time this season. Manchester City and Arsenal won convincingly, to keep alive in the title race. All three relegation teams lost.
Week 15 EPL Waiver wire suggestions (under 50% rostered) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Week 15 Fantasy EPL Draft Waiver Wire
Jhon Duran – Forward – 43% Rostered – Aston Villa vs Southampton
Aston Villa hosts Southampton, which is the worst team in the league, with just a single win and only two draws. You want players from Villa this weekend. Duran scored in four of the first five games of the season off the bench but hasn’t scored since. I expect some lineup changes, and Duran could benefit. If so, he will want to make the most of this chance. Even if you don’t take this chance, grab Villa players on the EPL waiver wire if you can.
Carlos Soler – Midfielder – 9% Rostered – West Ham vs Wolves
Soler has started in the midfielder for three in a row, with an assist in one and two of three quality point returns. There’s rotation worry, of course, and West Ham only lost two of those three. The Hammers host Wolves, who have lost two in a row, conceding four goals in both games. Both teams need a win here. West Ham’s big summer signing, Niclas Füllkrug, got his first minutes mid-week, and EPL Fantrax managers should be keeping an eye on him.
Tyler Adams – Midfielder – 8% Rostered – Ipswich vs Bournemouth.
The American has earned his way back into the starting 11, getting starts in the last four. He had a truly excellent performance in Bournemouth’s big win against Tottenham. He’s a box-to-box midfielder, so gets points on both sides of the ball, but it’s his defensive stats that are propelling his fantasy value. Bournemouth has two straight wins and now travels to Ipswich who sit in 18th place. Even if Adams gets some rest this weekend, he’s worth picking up on the EPL waiver wire, as a long-term roster choice.
Andre – Midfielder – 2% Rostered – West Ham vs Wolves
Andre is another primarily defensive midfielder who can add some consistency to your roster. Earlier in the season, he hadn’t shown much fantasy promise, but recently that has changed, with three solid weeks of points. Opponents West Ham have been incredibly inconsistent, so Wolves have a chance to get back on track. Their two losses in a row were preceded by two straight wins, so they’ll be looking to get to winning ways and out of the relegation zone.
Be sure to check injuries and team news. Have players ready to fill in, if lineups don’t go your way.
Have fun. Good luck!
