Week 16 is here and if you just got bounced out of the first round of playoffs then, you need to turn to DFS and check out my picks. This week was one of the more difficult weeks to select players since it seems like half the league is in COVID-19 protocol. It is tough to know who is going to play this week and who isn’t.
But, the beauty in that is, lots of players are undervalued this week. On that note, let’s get into it these picks of the week.
Just as a reminder, DraftKings has a salary base of $50,000, and FanDuel has a base of $60,000.

Week 16 DFS Picks:
Quarterbacks
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (DK $6,500 FD $7,400)
Dak Prescott has been in a slump the last couple of games, hence why his salary has dropped. But, this week he is going against the worst fantasy defense against quarterbacks in Washington. The Washington Football Team is giving up 24 fantasy points a game to quarterbacks. Prescott has all his wide receivers healthy this week. Prescott is due to get out of his slump and is a great value pick this week.
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (DK $6,400 FD $7,700)
Jalen Hurts is coming off one of his best games this season, but his salary has stayed stagnant. He is going against the Giants who have been playing well on the defensive side as of late. But, Hurts has been great all season. If you look at his track record he only has two games where he scored under 20 fantasy points this season. However, last time he played the Giants he had under 10 fantasy points. I don’t see the Giants holding him down again this season.
Other Value Pick: Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (DK $6,100 FD $7,500)
Running Backs
Cordarrelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons (DK $6,700 FD $7,200)
Cordarrelle Patterson had a rough week last week against the 49ers. But, he is still averaging 47% of the snap shares this season. Last week he was on the field 62% of the time. This week he has the Detroit Lions who are the third-worst fantasy defense against running backs this season. They are giving up 22.8 fantasy points a game to running backs. With Patterson being on the field at least 50% of the time and going against this defense, this is a no-brainer.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs (DK $5,800 FD $6,500)
Clyde Edwards-Helaire was rather disappointing last week, but I wouldn’t let that game define him for the rest of the season. Especially since he has the Steelers this week, who are also in the top 10 for allowing the most points to running backs. Another upside is, Edwards-Helaire played 71% of the snaps last week. It is looking more and more that he will once again be the lead back. He has a flex salary this week and is easily an RB2 in your lineup.
Other Value Pick: Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys (DK $7,200 FD $7,000)
Wide Receivers
Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders (DK $6,800 FD $7,100)
The Raiders kept their playoffs hopes alive last week with a win over the Browns. This week they have the Broncos, who are giving up 21.8 fantasy points to wide receivers this year. The Raiders could be without Darren Waller against this week, leaving Hunter Renfrow as the only reliable option. Early this year the Raiders beat the Broncos 34-24. Renfrow had a quiet game, but that was with Waller and Henry Ruggs III playing. Renfrow has a great price this week and will be a PPR machine.
Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals (DK $5,600 FD $7,200)
Christian Kirk showed up in the absence of DeAndre Hopkins. Kirk played 96% of the snaps last week and put up 94 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions. I thought A.J. Green would be the next man up, but it is definitely Kirk. DraftKings has him valued so low this week against the Colts. They are making a huge mistake, so you better not make the mistake by not starting him.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions (DK $5,600 FD $6,500)
For the last three weeks, Amon-Ra St. Brown has been a top fantasy wide receiver, scoring 24.8, 15.3 and 23.5 fantasy points in PPR. This week he has the Falcons who are the sixth-worst fantasy defense against wide receivers. They are giving up 24.1 fantasy points a game this season to wide receivers. St. Brown is valued so low this week on both platforms and is an absolute steal this week.
Other Value Pick: Marquise Brown, Las Vegas Raiders (DK $5,800 FD $6,400)
Tight End
Zach Ertz, Arizona Cardinals (DK $5,000 FD $5,800)
Zach Ertz is another one who can step up in the absence of Hopkins. Last week he finished with 74 yards on six receptions. He was targeted 11 times last game. All he needed was a touchdown to put up huge numbers. That will be this week, as the Colts are giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Ertz has great upside this week.
Other Value Pick: Dalton Schultz, Miami Dolphins (DK $5,200 FD $6,000)
Defense
Dallas Cowboys (DK $3,300 FD $4,900)
You just have to keep rolling with this Cowboys defense. They have been amazing as of late and are so cheap in DFS. They have scored in the double-digits the last three weeks and have The Washington Football Team this week. Also, Washington is down to their fourth-string quarterback Garrett Gilbert. The Cowboys will dominate this game.
