Week 17 Tight End Rankings for Fantasy Football

If you’re playing for your league’s title this week, congratulations! You’ve successfully navigated injuries, bye weeks, and other headaches in the fantasy world to get to this point. Now for the final push. The Week 17 tight end rankings are here to help you power your way through championship week. We’ll highlight tight ends that can boost your lineups so you can finish the season with bragging rights. Good luck, all!

Tight End Notes

  • Mark Andrews has cracked 45 receiving yards only once in his previous five games. But fantasy managers likely aren’t complaining, as Andrews has four touchdowns in that span — and a whopping nine scores in his last 10 games. Up next for Andrews is a matchup against the Texans. While the defense has been stout in yardage allowed, it’s had problems covering the end zone — an area where Andrews is a beast. Houston has given up six touchdowns on the year to tight ends, tied for fourth-most this season. Andrews leads the position in touchdowns and should have another big week. He’s a smash play as Andrews ranks as TE5 in the Week 17 tight end rankings.
  • Pat Freiermuth is coming off a dud game where he caught all three of his targets for a measly 16 yards. However, he should be able to bounce back in Week 17. He has a favorable matchup against a Chiefs team allowing the most receiving yards to tight ends this year. They’ve also given up 12.6 half-PPR points per game to the position. Further, in the past five weeks, tight ends have averaged 69.4 yards per game against their defense, with two tight ends finding the end zone in the past four games. Freiermuth was on a three-game scoring streak before last week’s down game, and his odds of finding paydirt this week are strong. Freiermuth is TE9 in the Week 17 tight end rankings.
  • Tucker Kraft isn’t the most consistent tight end, but he still managed to pile up the third-most touchdowns (7) and seventh-most yards (618) at the position this season. Kraft could be a sneaky play this week. He faces a Vikings defense giving up 50.7 yards per game to tight ends on the year. While the unit has been stingier on the scoring front, they ceded a touchdown to the position last week, and Kraft managed to find the end zone against them in Week 4. Kraft has scored in two of his previous four games and could find paydirt again in Week 17. The game should be a high-scoring affair, and Kraft ranks as a back-end TE1 in the Week 17 tight end rankings.
  • Chigoziem Okonkwo has gotten hot during the fantasy football playoffs. In the last two weeks, he’s led the Titans with a 29% target share, amassing a combined 21 targets for 140 yards in that stretch. Okonkwo should continue to rack up fantasy goodness against the Jaguars this week. Jacksonville has ceded the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends. They’ve also coughed up seven touchdowns to the position, tied for third-most. Mason Rudolph is locked in on Okonkwo, making him a solid play in the fantasy championships. Okonkwo rounds out the top 12 in the Week 16 tight end rankings.
