Another week of fantasy hockey is behind us and goalies continue to be very important in the success of any team. There have already been a ton of surprises and disappointments around the NHL, but we are here to strike while the iron is hot on some netminders for Week 4. If you’re looking for at least a couple of starts, solid matchups, and the potential for an add to be more than a streamer, then you’ve come to the right place.

Fantasy Hockey Week 4 Goalie Streams
Lukas Dostal, Anaheim Ducks
While John Gibson is injured, the Anaheim Ducks are lucky enough to have Lukas Dostal be ready for the starting role. He has played six games already and has won three of them. It could be a little misleading considering two of the wins have come against the winless San Jose Sharks, but the young goalie has done well this season.
Dostal has a SV% of at least .918 in five of his six games and has stopped 26+ shots in every game this season. He has been one of the very best goaltenders in the league this far with a 2.18 GAA, .936 SV%, and a shutout. The Ducks play the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Chicago Blackhawks this week. This lines up to be a good week for Anaheim and you as a fantasy hockey manager if you take advantage.
Dustin Wolf, Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames have been surprisingly good this season so far, but they are coming back down to Earth a little now after a very hot start. The Flames are still 5-2-1 and rookie goalie Dustin Wolf has helped with that success. The team has alternated between him and Dan Vladar every game this season, so with four games on tap, expect Wolf to get you two starts.
Calgary matches up against the Vegas Golden Knights, Utah Hockey Club, New Jersey Devils, and Edmonton Oilers. As Wolf started the last game against the very strong Winnipeg Jets, it is expected he gets the starts against Utah and Edmonton which bodes better for him at this time. In four games, Wolf has three wins, a 2.74 GAA, and .924 SV%. It is impressive and the Flames are accepting whatever rebuild they’re in. Jump on Wolf while the team is rolling.
Joel Blomqvist, Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins might have found their new starter as long as Joel Blomqvist is playing well. The team will be playing whichever goalie is going to give them the best chance to win every night. So far that has been the rookie who wasn’t even supposed to be a regular in the NHL yet. He has played in five of the team’s 10 games so far, starting four of them, and has a pair of wins.
Blomqvist has made at least 26 saves every game and recorded a SV% over .900 in four of the five games. Tristan Jarry may not be playing for the next little while for the Penguins and the team doesn’t have a bad schedule this week. A .911 SV% on the season for Blomqvist is very respectable this early in his career. Pittsburgh plays the Minnesota Wild, Ducks, and Montreal Canadiens. I expect him to play two of those games, starting with Minnesota as he didn’t get the start in the previous loss.

While some more options may open up throughout the week, this is a chance to grab some younger goalies with potential. They all have a great opportunity in front of them and teams just want the best chance to win now. I would consider each of these options for this week as an extra start of two is almost as important as the best stats as well.
