Week 4 NFL DFS: Money Makers and Heart Breakers

Welcome to Week 4 of Money Makers and Heart Breakers for the 2024 NFL season! Every week, I break down the top NFL DFS picks for the Sunday main slate—highlighting players who can bring home the cash and those who might leave you regretting your choices.

It has been a crazy season so far. Lots of injuries to key players across the board. Some surprising breakouts like Jauan Jennings in Week 3. All around craziness with the entire tight end position. We will reign all of that in this week here. So let’s get it started!

Here is a brief definition of each of my terms for anyone that might be new:

💰 Money Maker – This player will perform better than expectations

💔 Heart Breaker – This player will perform lower than expectations

 Week 4 Money Makers💰

Quarterbacks

Kyler Murray

The Cardinals play the Commanders in Week 4, The Commanders give up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Every quarterback that has played against the Commanders has passed for multiple touchdowns through the first three games. Murray will get it done through the air and with his legs in Week 4. Expect him to rush for over 50 yards and pass for over 200 yards with multiple touchdowns. Everyone produces against the Commanders. Here he comes to save the day the guy that looks like Mighty Mouse is on his way.

$8,700 on FanDuel

CJ Stroud

Stroud will get right against the Jaguars in Week 4. The Jaguars give up the second most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. After facing three defenses that have been tough against the pass it will be nice to see the Texans let it loose. On average quarterbacks pass for 263 yards and 1.7 touchdowns against the Jaguars. The get-right game we wanted is here.

Caleb Williams

You see the theme. The Bears get to play the Rams in Week 4. The Rams give up the third most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. The Rams have given up over 250 yards and 3 touchdowns in each of the past two games. In Week 3 Williams appears to start figuring things out with a 363-yard, 2-touchdown game of his own. Look for Caleb to paint his nails and the town red after a win in Week 4.

This will be the easiest defense Moss has faced this season. In Week 3 Moss had 58 yards and a touchdown rushing and 5 receptions for 39 yards receiving. He is involved heavily in this Bengals offense.

Saquon Barkley

Running backs have averaged 82 yards and a touchdown rushing against the Buccaneers weekly in 2024. They also average 8 receptions and 70 yards per game against the Buccaneers. Barkley has been tearing it up against tougher defenses. He has over 100 total yards in every game and has scored 5 touchdowns in total. Barkley is going to go crazy in Week 4.

Cam Akers

In Week 3 Akers was playable. He did score a touchdown. If Mixon and Pierce are unable to go, Akers is the play. The Texans play the Jaguars who cannot stop the pass or the run. The Jaguars give up the fourth most fantasy points to running backs. Akers is aching for a crack at the Jaguars

Harrison has 194 yards and 3 touchdowns in the last two games combined. He will continue his tear in Week 4. This should be the biggest game for the rookie this season. Stack up the Cardinals.

DJ Moore

In every game this season a wide receiver has a game with over 100 receiving yards and one or more touchdowns against the Rams. The Rams give up the second most fantasy points to wide receivers. Its almost as bad as the Commanders, wide receivers average, 11 receptions, 180 yards and 2 touchdowns per game against the Rams. Moore has a 24% target share of the Bears passing game. Moore, Moore, how do you like it, how do you like it?

Chris Godwin

Godwin leads the Buccaneers in targets in 2023 with 25. That is 30% target share. He also has scored a touchdown in all three games this season. The volume and production should be there against the Eagles in Week 4. The Eagles give up the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers. Oh my God(win) does it again

Tight Ends

Will Dissly

The Chiefs give up the most fantasy points to the tight end position. A tight end has got over 50 yards against the Chiefs in every game so far this season. But we are talking about Will Dissly here Reedy are you crazy? Dissly has 7 targets this season, which leads Chargers tight ends with a 10% target share. In the game of tight end roulette, we are playing this season, load him up, point the gun at your roster, and see what happens.

Mike Gesicki

The Bengals play the Panthers in Week 4. The Panthers give up the third most fantasy points to opposing teams’ tight ends. Gesicki has 18 targets this season. DEF

Raiders

Rams

He Rams play the Bears in Week 4. The Bears give up the fifth most fantasy points to defenses. The past two games the Bears have given up 2 interceptions per game and 11 total sacks. The Rams defense isn’t great but should get some sacks this game.

Week 4 Heart Breakers💔

Quarter Backs

Anthony Richardson

Richardson has been inaccurate so far this season. He has 36 completions on 73 pass attempts. In Week 4 he gets to take his inaccuracy to a new level against the Steelers. The Steelers give up the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Granted they haven’t played anyone. But with the pathetic play Richardson has had the past two games is he a someone? Pass on Richardson in Week 4.

Bo Nix

Bo Nix is one of the nobodies who played against the Steelers. This week he gets to play against the Jets who give up the second fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. The good news is Nix should get to keep his streak of no touchdown passes alive this week. Put a nix on any thoughts of playing Bo in Week 4.

Matthew Stafford

Are there any wide receivers playing for the Rams that are starting caliber for the NFL? Top it off with the Bears are up next with their tough defense against the pass in Week 4. In Chicago. Expect the Rams to utilize Kyren Williams a lot and Stafford to have a not-so-good game in Week 4.

Running Backs

Jonathan Taylor

The Colts play the Steelers in Week 4. The Steelers defend the run almost as good as they defend the pass. They are the second toughest defense for running backs to score fantasy points against. Now with that said, I am playing Taylor in season-long formats if I have him. But I am not paying for him in DFS.

Alvin Kamara

Kamara is dinged up a bit and has been limited in practice, which isn’t good. The Saints play the Falcons in Week 4. The Falcons are very stingy against the running backs. With Kamara dinged up a bit and the Falcons being good against the run I would pass on playing him in DFS.

JK Dobbins

Dobbins had a tough time in Week 3 against the Steelers defense. It doesn’t get any easier in Week 4 against the Chiefs defense. Not a single running back has rushed for 50 yards against the Chiefs. No running back has scored more than 12 fantasy point against the Chiefs. No thank you JK Dobbins.

Wide Receivers

Amon-Ra St. Brown (Seahawks fewest)

The Lions play the Seahawks in Week 4. The Seahawks give up the least amount of fantasy points to wide receivers. With that said I love the Sun God and I know he will do at the very least decent against the Seahawks. But I wouldn’t play him in DFS. This game looks like the Full Monty for the Lions.

Garrett Wilson

Patrick Surtain will be covering Wilson in Week 4. That’s it, that’s all you need to know. Curtains for certain when Surtain on you. (say that 5 times fast)

Tyreek Hill

Who is playing quarterback for Miami in Week 4. There is no Tua Tagovailao. I know it’s not a main slate game. I don’t care. Hill is going to struggle in Week 4 against the Titans defense.

NOTE: Look I needed to fill space here and I like Tyreek Hill.

Tight Ends

Hunter Henry

The Patriots play the Niners in Week 4. The Niners give up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends. I am writing about Henry. If Henry can score 4 fantasy points it will be the most scored by a tight end against the Niners this season.

Dallas Goedert

Goedert might be the only starting pass catcher playing for the Eagles in Week 4. The Eagles play the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers give up the fourth fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Goedert could see a super high volume of pass and screw this up for me. But I am trusting the Buccaneers defense that held Sam LaPorta to 2 catches for 13 yards in Week 2.
