Week 4 is here, and that means another round of survivor pool picks. I am currently three for three with my picks this year. Just as a recap I’ve used the Ravens, Rams and Falcons.
Last week I took a risk on taking the Falcons and it worked. This week I have my top three picks that will all be solid choices for your league this week.
Now, it’s time for me to go three for three on my survivor picks for Week 4.
Week 4 Survivor Pool Picks
Let’s get into it. All lines are taken from ESPN
Los Angeles Chargers (-5) @ Houston Texans
Pick: Houston Texans
The Texans are winless, but every game they’ve played has been a one-score game. They tied against the Colts and lost by seven to the Broncos and three to the Bears. The Texans aren’t that bad of a team, and I could see them upsetting the Chargers this week.
The Chargers were upset last week against the Jaguars, and I don’t see them bouncing back this week. The Chargers will be without Joey Bosa and left tackle Rashawn Slater. I expect Justin Herbert not to be fully recovered from his rib injury, and with his offensive line banged up, he will be under pressure this week.
Fantasy is all about taking risks, and I think the Texans look like the better team this week.
Denver Broncos @ Las Vegas Raiders (-2.5)
Pick: Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are also another winless team, but I can see anyone beating the Broncos after that terrible Sunday Night game. Russell Wilson was supposed to dominate this season, but he looks like he forgot how to play football.
The Raiders have come close in every single game this season and I think this is the game where Davante Adams takes over and wins this game. The Raiders could be 3-0 this year but had some questionable play calling. I think Week 4 is when they get it together.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5)
Pick: Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles look like super bowl contenders this year. I’m all in on Jalen Hurts and what he is doing for this offense. Don’t get me wrong the Jaguars are pulling it together, but this Eagles defense is elite. Darius Slay is going to be a nightmare for Trevor Lawrence.
I just don’t see the Eagles blowing it at home this week. The Jaguars looked good last week, but the Chargers were banged up. This will be the real test and I see the Eagles flying away with this one.
My Pick: Philadelphia Eagles
I want to take the risk and take the Raiders this week, but the safest choice is the Eagles this week. They are hot and you got to ride the hot teams. Once the Raiders grab their first win, they will start rolling and I’ll pick them then.
But for now, ride the Eagles at home this week.
