We’re onto Week 6. As we approach this new slate of games, we have more injuries and more teams on bye to navigate. Players on the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, and Minnesota Vikings are all unavailable to our lineups. If you have one or multiple players on these teams out of your Week 6 lineup, you’re looking for the best substitutes possible. That’s where our Fantrax bold predictions come in handy. Our writers have hit on at least one bold prediction each week of the season so far. Let’s dive into the Week 6 bold predictions to see which ones best suit your daily fantasy sports, redraft, or dynasty lineups.
Week 6 Bold Predictions for the 2024 Fantasy Football Season
Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants
Bold Prediction: 225 passing yards, 2 touchdowns; 30 rushing yards, 1 touchdown
26.0 fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Colin McTamany, @Colin_McT
Colin’s Breakdown: The New York Giants host the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football in Week 6. New York is looking to keep the momentum going after a huge road win against the Seahawks in Week 5. Meanwhile, the Bengals are looking to get momentum going after falling to 1-4 against the Ravens. It’s going to be a more competitive game than perhaps many expected at the start of the season. Considering the quarterbacks on bye especially, my Week 6 bold prediction for Daniel Jones could provide a Monday Night Miracle for your fantasy lineup.
The Bengals’ defense ranks top five in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. That’s in part due to allowing the second-most rushing yards (164) to the position, including 39 to Jayden Daniels in Week 3 and 55 to Lamar Jackson in Week 5. While Daniels (57) and Jackson (53) lead all quarterbacks in total rush attempts, Jones ranks fifth with 34 attempts of his own. His ability as a runner could and should come into play in Week 6. My bold prediction also includes his first rushing touchdown of the season.
A big key to this bold prediction is whether or not wide receiver Malik Nabers (concussion) is able to go. He has yet to practice since suffering a concussion on Thursday Night Football in Week 4 over two weeks ago. If he does play, I feel even better about this bold prediction. However, Jones was still able to rack up 257 passing yards and two touchdowns without Nabers in Week 5. He targeted just two wide receivers, of five total players, with Darius Slayton and Wan’Dale Robinson accounting for 61% of the receiving yardage. The Bengals have some key injuries on a defense that’s already struggled against the pass. Jones is a high-upside streamer for Week 6.
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
Bold Prediction: 5 receptions, 80 yards, 1 touchdown
19.0 fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Colin McTamany, @Colin_McT
Colin’s Breakdown: As the Bears offense continues to progress, so does Rome Odunze in his first season. Odunze is currently second on the Bears in targets behind only D.J. Moore. Odunze and Moore are the only Bears with at least three targets in every game this season and the only two with 20 or more targets across Chicago’s last three games.
While Odunze has 29 targets, only 16 of them (55%) have been deemed catchable. As a result, Rome Odunze has just two games with more than two receptions this season. Additionally, those are Odunze’s only two games with 40 or more receiving yards, as well.
This Week 6 bold prediction is a chance for Rome Odunze to add to his limited production in an advantageous matchup. Odunze and the Bears “host” the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday. The Jags have allowed the second-most receptions and the most receiving yards to wide receivers this season. Heading into Week 6, Jacksonville also ranks third in total points allowed (145) to teams this season.
I’m betting on Odunze’s big play-making ability to capitalize on this matchup. He ranks inside the top 25 wide receivers in air yards and red zone targets, but those stats don’t score fantasy points. Though he still has to battle D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, and others for targets, I think Odunze will produce on what comes his way in Week 6. Given the long list of injuries to wide receivers this season, plug in Odunze’s upside to your Week 6 lineup.

Dare Ogunbowale, RB, Houston Texans
Bold Prediction: 15 carries, 45 yards; 6 receptions, 50 yards, 1 touchdown
21.5 fantasy points
Fantrax Writer: Michael Reedy, @MikeReedyFF
Michael’s Breakdown: Dare Ogunbowale operated as the primary running back for Houston in Week 5. Dare led the Texans’ running backs with 46 snaps (68%) with a team-high 15 carries, as well. Additionally, Ogunbowale was second in targets (7) behind only Stefon Diggs (8). With Nico Collins out there will be more opportunities for targets in Week 6. Look for Ogunbowale to be more involved in the passing game while maintaining the bulk of the carries, as well. My Week 6 bold prediction rests on about 20-24 total touches in Week 6 for Ogunbowale. I’ll take that volume against the Patriots and their defense that’s giving up the 11th-most fantasy points to running backs.
