Weekend Waiver Wire for NFL Week 4

How is the season treating you? A new injury popping up daily on your team? Yeah, me too. Seems like an awful lot of wide receivers seem to keep getting hurt. Does that make you sad? Ok, I’ll stop. I want you to be happy. You know what will pick your spirits up reading this article about weekend waiver stashes.

After you finish saying that five times fast read the article below.

Week 4 Weekend Waiver Wire

Quarterbacks

Andy Dalton, Carolina Panthers

The Red Rifle is back again. In Week 3 Dalton threw for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Panthers’ skill position players all came alive with Dalton at the helm. The Bengals are up this week and the Panthers will have to pass. Don’t pass on Andy Dalton if you are quarterback-needy.

Other quarterbacks to consider if you are desperate:

  • Malik Willis – Green Bay Packers, 202 yards and 1 TD passing, 73 yards, and 1 TD rushing in Week 3.  If Jordan Love can’t go he is plug and play.

Running Backs

Braelon Allen, New York Jets

In Week 2 Allen had 9 total touches and scored 2 touchdowns. He followed this up in Week 3 with 11 carries for 55 yards and 3 receptions for 33 yards. His volume of total touches increased to 14 and he totaled a combined 68 yards. It appears Allen will be involved in the Jets offense in his own right as the season progresses.

Alexander Mattison, Las Vegas Raider

Mattison has scored a touchdown in all three games this season. In Week 3 Mattison led the Raiders running backs in snaps with 44% of the offensive snaps. He is the goal line back and the receiving back. Mattison is boring but effective.

Other running backs to consider:

  • Emanual Wilson (packers) 12 carries 50 yards, 2 receptions 35 yards TD. 41% snaps share at RB.
  • Jaleel McLaughlin  – 7 yards TD, 1 catch 7 yards

Wide Receivers

Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders

In Week 3 Tucker’s stats looked like this: 9 targets, 7 receptions, 96 yards, and a touchdown. Tre had a 22.5% target share of the Raiders passes. He also played 81% of the snaps. With Davante Adams missing Week 4 I would add Tucker now. Yes, I mean right now, go do it and come back and finish reading this afterward. Now!

Andrei Iosivas, Cincinnati Bengals

I like Yoshi. Yes, people call him Yoshi. Well, friends do. I am kind of a friend. He doesn’t know I am but I am. Wait, that sounds stalkerish. I am not a stalker, but I am a fan. In Week 3 Iosivas saw 7 targets, he turned that into 5 receptions, 52 yards and a touchdown. This was an 18% target share which was tied for the lead on the team. He played 77% of the snaps and to top it all off Joe Burrow trusts him in the red zone. He has three touchdowns in the lats two games. Sign me up for the Yoshi newsletter today.

Other wide receivers to consider:

  • Jalen Nailor – Minnesota Vikings. 4 Targets, 3 Receptions, 54 yards, touchdown, 14% Target  Share. 86% of snaps
  • Jakobi Meyers – Raiders, 9 targets, 7 receptions, 62 yards TD 22.5% target share

NOTE: I chose Tre Tucker to write up deeper because you may not know who he is and he is available everywhere. I would also run out and add Meyers where ever I can.

Tight Ends

Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals

Gesicki has 18 targets this season. That is 19% target share thus far of the Bengals offense. He is in a great spot this week and is involved regularly in his teams passing game. This week the Bengals play the Panthers. The Panthers stink against tight ends, they give up the third most fantasy points to them.

Other tight ends to consider:

  • Noah Fant – 6 targets, 6 receptions, 60 yards, 18 % target share
  • Zach Ertz – Washington Commanders, 5 targets, 5 receptions, 38 yards, 22% target share
