In the world of Dynasty fantasy football, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of building a young team for the future. Drafting rookies is a thrill, trading for those “Breakout Potential” players gets the blood flowing, I mean who doesn’t love to take a little gamble? However, sometimes the best way to secure your league title is to focus on the present. At the end of the day, you’re here to win that championship and earn those bragging rights with your league mates.
In this article, I’m going to give you 5 Win-Now Players you should look to acquire to help you win that Dynasty Football Championship in 2024.
5 Win-Now Player for 2024 Dynasty Football
Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara, 28, enters his 8th NFL season as the clear RB1 in New Orleans, where he should primarily own the backfield, as 2nd-year back Kendre Miller and Jamaal Williams battle it out for the backup role. Many considered 2023 a down year for Kamara, when in all reality he quietly put together another top-12 season.
Despite his three-game suspension to start the year, Kamara ended as RB11 in PPR. He averaged 17.9ppg (3rd best), 6.6 targets a game, and had seven top 10 RB weeks. While we did see some of his efficiencies in the run game slip (career-low 3.9 ypc), the receptions were there for Kamara, with 75 receptions, training only Breece Hall (76). Additionally, the Saints offense gets a nice boost with new OC Klint Kubiak, where Kamara’s strengths should continue to be utilized and set him up for yet another Top 12 finish. In Dynasty, he’s currently going as the RB25, YES RB25. If you’re a contending team, Kamara is someone you should be looking to acquire immediately.

Najee Harris, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Najee Harris, 26, comes into his 4th NFL season with a lot to prove. Harris has shown consistency and durability, never having missed a game in his NFL career. The Steelers decided to decline Harris’s 5th-year option this season, but you shouldn’t decline to have Harris on your fantasy team. Playing in a struggling offense and behind a less-than-average offensive line his first three years, Harris still had over 1,000 rushing yards each season in Pittsburgh and totaled 28 TDs in that span.
Without a guaranteed contract for 2024, Harris will be motivated to perform and either get a contract with the Steelers or elsewhere. This offseason, the Steelers improved their Offensive Line, and with a new QB in Russell Wilson (or Justin Fields) and a new OC in Arthur Smith, we will see a renovated offense in Pittsburgh, that caters well to Harris’s playstyle. There are concerns that Jaylen Warren continues to dig into Harris’s production, but I believe in a new Arthur Smith, run-heavy offense, we see both of them carry their success from 2023 over to 2024. Harris is currently the RB24 in Dynasty.

James Connor, RB, Arizona Cardinals
It shouldn’t have to be said, but I’m saying it. If your dynasty football team is a contender, buy James Conner. Through the inefficiencies and dysfunctional offense that the Arizona Cardinals have had the last few years, James Conner has been one of the shining lights.
Conner, 29, comes into 2024 as the RB34 in Dynasty. Despite missing four games last season, Conner ended his year as the RB18, with five consecutive RB1 finishes in the last 5 games the Cardinals played. Conner showed no signs of slowing down in 2023, averaging 5.0 YPC, forcing 27 missed tackles (3rd most), and leading the league in 20+ yard rushes with 11.
The Cardinals drafted rookie Trey Benson in the 3rd round, which has scared some fantasy owners away, but being that Conner has missed at least four games the last two seasons, Benson is a great compliment to Conner, but won’t supplant him as the starter in 2024. The Cardinals offense only got better this offseason, as they added Marvin Harrison Jr in the draft, get a healthy Kyler Murray, and a rising star in Trey McBride. Conner will reap the benefits, and have himself a top 12 RB finish, and lead your team to a fantasy football championship.

Davante Adams, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
It wasn’t long ago that Davante Adams was the clear WR1 in fantasy football. Adams, now 31, is in an unknown offense with uncertainties including a new coaching staff and direction of the team. Even Adams’s future in Vegas is cloudy. What is certain about Adams, is the production you can expect from him. Whether Gardner Minchew or Aidan O’Connell is under center in Vegas, Adams will be the focal point of that offense. Adams is a target hog, averaging 177 since joining Las Vegas, and I don’t expect that to be any different in 2024. Dating back to 2018, Adams has been one of the most consistent WRs in football (finishes below):
- 2018 – WR3 – 169 targets, 111 receptions, 1386 yards, 13 TDs
- 2019 – WR23 (injured for 4 games) – 127 targets, 83 receptions, 997 yards, 5 TDs
- 2020 WR1 -149 targets, 115 receptions, 1374 yards, 18 TDs
- 2021 – WR2 – 169 targets, 123 receptions, 1553 yards, 11 TDs
- 2022 – WR3 – 180 targets, 100 receptions, 1516 yards, 14 TDs
- 2023 – WR10 – 174 targets, 103 receptions, 1144 yards, 8TDs
Despite putting up a top-10 season in 2023, due to age and situation, Adams comes in as the WR31 in Dynasty for 2024. Contending, win-now teams should be looking to trade for Adams immediately.

Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Coming off his third straight 1,000-yard season, Chris Godwin should be a target for any contender. Though the Buccaneers have had three OCs in three years, new face Liam Coen should get everyone excited about his arrival.
Godwin, 28, is expected to return to his slot role, where he has seen the most success in his seven-year career. Godwin was able to end his 2023 campaign on a strong note, averaging 9 targets a game, and 15.7 ppg in his last 5 games of the season.
Baker Mayfield returns to lead the offense after having signed a 3-year, 100 million-dollar contract, with the Bucs after a successful 2023 campaign. Mayfield threw the ball 566 times last season (7th most), and 2024 will be no different.
I expect Godwin to easily see over 120 targets in 2024, and to put up similar numbers to his 2021 season, where he was the WR16. Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that the only true target competition in Tampa is Mike Evans, as Trey Palmer and new rookie Jalen McMillan get ramped up. Godwin is easily the WR2 on that offense with WR1 upside. Godwin is currently the WR43 in Dynasty, with top 24 potential.
