2024 Fantasy Football: Week 12 Running Back Sleepers and Streamers

Our sleepers and streamers column featured one hit last week, Austin Ekeler. Despite playing second fiddle to Brian Robinson Jr., Ekeler is and always will be lethal in the pass-catching game. He scored 17.9 PPR points, was good for RB11, and has posted consecutive RB1 weeks. The other guys did not get a chance to perform at a high level. Nick Chubb’s team never stood a chance, and they were down the entire game. Najee Harris did score double-digit points but did not go off how we expect our sleepers and streamers to help our audience.

In Week 12, there are six teams on bye. Unavailable players include Breece Hall, Bijan Robinson, James Cook, and Chase Brown. This will be a tough week for a ton of fantasy teams out there. Let’s make the most of it and find studs to stream.

Week 12 Running Back Sleepers

Justice Hill @ Los Angeles Chargers

Justice Hill is not as good as Chase Brown, but when it comes to catching the football, both are close. Brown just had 19.3 fantasy points against the Chargers and had five receptions on seven targets for 57 yards.  As the playoff race heats up, this battle against the Chargers will be the game of the week. The Chargers are in the bottom half of PPG allowed to receivers.

I believe Justice Hill will have one of his better receiving games in Week 12. With the amount of elite running backs on a bye, we are swinging for the fences here.

Austin Ekeler vs. Dallas Cowboys

Austin Ekeler has not let me down once this season, and he will be featured once again in Week 12. As I stated earlier, Ekeler has had consecutive RB1 weeks, even with Brian Robinson Jr playing in Week 11. Ekeler, like Hill, is elite when it comes to catching passes. As the Commanders face the depleted Cowboys, I think Washington will beat up on the Cowboys after a tough loss in Week 11 to the Philadelphia Eagles. I believe Ekeler and Robinson will both find the end zone in Week 12 as the Commanders blow out the Cowboys.

Week 12 Running Back Streamers

Javonte Williams @ Las Vegas Raiders

One week, Javonte Williams looks like he is out of a job, and then the next week, he looks great. That is what happened in Week 11 as Javonte Williams 18.7 fantasy points with a touchdown. Now, in Week 12, the Denver Broncos face one of the worst teams in football, the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders are a bottom-seven team in terms of most fantasy ppg allowed to running backs. Williams knows he has to perform at a high level with the competition that is now behind him.  This is my favorite running back play in sleepers and streamers for Week 12. I think the Broncos will blow out the Raiders, and the enter Denver running room will find success.

Najee Harris @ Cleveland Browns

Najee Harris had double-digit fantasy points and has been a consistent RB2 in fantasy football. Despite that, he is being started at just a 73% rate. An RB2 from the past month with an RB1 finish before that month started should have a 100% start rate. The Steelers’ offensive is run by Arthur Smith, and one thing is certain: he will run the heck out of the football.

I think the Steelers are a top-five team in football, and it starts up front with the offensive line and the running game. Fire Najee Harris up with confidence in Week 12. The Steelers should jump out early and for good against the Browns. In turn, Harris and company will be able to run the football for the majority of the game with a chance at a touchdown.
