Sleepers and streamers took a major hit in Week 12. Every running back that made it did not perform well. For some reason, every time I do a write-up about Javonte Williams, he turns into one of the worst running backs in football. That means that, in Week 13, he will perform at a high level because I will never include him in any other article, on to Week 13. There are two weeks left till the fantasy football playoffs, let’s go.
Week 13 Running Back Sleepers
Jaylen Wright @ Green Bay Packers
Listen, if you need a dart throw, throw it at Jaylen Wright. Wright’s last decent fantasy game came in Week 5. It will be under 50 degrees in Green Bay when the Miami Dolphins face the Green Bay Packers. The Dolphins have a major problem, though. In games under 50 degrees, Tagovailoa is 1-7 with nine touchdowns and 12 interceptions, and a 57.6% pass completion. This is why I love Jaylen Wright as a sleeper. The Dolphins should rely heavily on their rushing attack. In a game with such cold conditions, there is no way DeVon Achane sees the majority of the workload. I believe Wright will be a factor in a must-win game for the Dolphins.
Rachaad White @ Carolina Panthers
Rachaad White finished as a top-five fantasy running back last season. He was set to go off yet again this season. He has slowly gone from a must-start to a streamer to now finding himself as a sleeper in sleepers and streamers. White has slowly transitioned into the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ RB2 behind rookie Bucky Irving. White has had a few RB1 finishes, but he just has not been as efficient as Irving. It is a good thing that the Buccaneers face the team that has allowed the most touchdowns to running backs in the Carolina Panthers. Just like in Week 12, I see the Buccaneers running back room all finding the end-zone in Week 13, making White a nice sleeper.
Week 13 Running Back Streamers
Rico Dowdle vs. New York Giants
Rico Dowdle had his best rushing game since Week 5 when he faced the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dowdle gets a much easier match-up against the New York Giants, who allowed every Buccaneers’ running back to find the end zone. The Cowboys have relied on Dowdle more than usual, with Cooper Rush under center now. The Giants are allowing over 25 fantasy ppg to running backs, and I expect Dowdle to have his first RB1 finish since Week 9 on Thanksgiving Day in Week 13. Start your holiday season with Dowdle in your line-up and my favorite running back in sleepers and streamers this upcoming week.
Tyrone Tracy @ Dallas Cowboys
The New York Giants are doing their best job to secure the number one overall pick by starting Tommy DeVito. He was a QB start for me in Week 12, and I apologize for that. Despite his poor QB play, Tyrone Tracy still finished as the RB21. In the most epic Thanksgiving mid-off between two horrible teams, I expect Tyrone Tracy to get it back rolling and be a top-15 running back in Week 13. The Cowboys also have allowed the second most rushing touchdowns to running backs through 12 weeks of football.
