Week 7 of the fantasy basketball season has arrived. We’re far enough into the season to know your roster’s strengths, weaknesses, and which bench pieces are truly expendable. Now is the time to tighten things up and chase players who can actually move the needle — whether that’s short-term production, injury-fill value, or the next guy poised to break out.
NBA Deep League Waiver Wire Adds
Duncan Robinson – G, Pistons
Duncan Robinson has settled into a strong rhythm, and while he’s known for being streaky, his November was quietly impressive. He’s logged 32.3 minutes in November and has delivered steady scoring, efficient shooting, and a reliable stream of threes. He’s exactly the type of guy you plug in to stabilize your perimeter scoring. If you need threes with decent steals and minutes that aren’t going anywhere, Robinson is a clean pickup. Robinson’s averages in the month of November:
- 13.5 points
- 3.0 rebounds
- 2.5 assists
- 1.3 steals
- 3.3 threes per game on 40.5% shooting
Jay Huff – C, Pacers
Jay Huff has taken full advantage of his recent starts. Over his last handful of games, he’s hovered around the mid-20s in minutes and produced strong scoring, rebounding, and elite rim protection. Even if he eventually returns to the bench, his role appears secure enough to keep him fantasy relevant. Anyone chasing blocks should already have him rostered.
Miles McBride — G, Knicks
With Landry Shamet sidelined for the next month, Miles McBride has stepped into a bigger role. He’s topped 30 minutes in most of his recent outings and is giving managers a steady scoring boost with a green light on offense. If your roster needs points or guard depth, McBride is one of the more reliable Week 7 adds.
Robert Williams III — C, Trail Blazers
If you need blocks, Robert Williams is your guy — period. He’s swatted three or more shots in each of his last three games and continues to be one of the league’s most efficient rim protectors whenever he’s healthy. Even if he only plays every other game, he’s productive enough in 15 to 20 minutes to swing the blocks category by himself. Roster him if you have room, and enjoy the low-risk, high-reward upside.
Jose Alvarado — G, Pelicans
Jose Alvarado has suddenly ramped up his production, playing 27+ minutes and firing off 15+ shots in back-to-back games. With multiple Pelicans dealing with injuries, Alvarado has become one of the focal points of the second unit and has shot the ball efficiently despite the increased volume. He’s a worthwhile speculative add right now, especially if New Orleans continues to lean on him while the roster gets healthy.
Alvardo has shot efficiently with increased attempts these past two games. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain this level of production over the next week or two as the Pelicans work their way back to a fully healthy roster.
Caleb Love — G, Trail Blazers
Caleb Love has been a nice spark off Portland’s bench, scoring in double figures in four of his last seven games. The efficiency isn’t always pretty, but the opportunities are there, and the team clearly values his shot creation. Monitoring him closely.
Jordan Walsh — G/F, Celtics
Jordan Walsh just delivered the most complete performance of his young career, stuffing the stat sheet with points, rebounds, defense, and energy across nearly 40 minutes. Boston was missing Derrick White and Neemias Queta, which opened the door for Walsh to showcase what he can do when given real minutes. This isn’t a long-term add yet, but if the Celtics continue to experiment with development minutes, Walsh becomes someone to keep on your radar.
Steven Adams — C, Rockets
Steven Adams played just 17 minutes in his latest outing but still managed a dominant double-double and even knocked down nine of his ten free throws — a massive turnaround for someone who has historically struggled at the line. He’s not a full-time asset while Alperen Şengün is healthy, but he remains a strong streamer whenever Houston needs him in a larger role.
Kris Murray — F, Trail Blazers
Kris Murray got the start with Donovan Clingan out and responded with one of his best all-around games of the year. He scored efficiently, grabbed rebounds, and knocked down threes while looking comfortable in an expanded role. He won’t see many starts, but whenever Portland is shorthanded, Murray becomes a viable deep-league streaming option.
