2025 Fantasy Football: Week 6 WR and TE Starts and Sits

It’s time to look at more of those tough start and sit decisions for Week 6. The wide receivers we had as starts for Week 5 were Chris Olave and Marvin Harrison Jr. The tight ends we had as starts were Darren Waller and Dalton Kincaid. Olave finished as the WR27, and Harrison Jr. finished as the WR22. Waller finished as the TE6, and Kincaid finished as the TE10. Not bad.

For our sits, we had Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton, TJ Hockenson, and Mark Andrews. Waddle finished as the WR8, Sutton finished as the WR16. Hockenson finished as the TE18, and Andrews finished as the TE34. I did not do well sitting Waddle and Sutton, but I had a 100% hit rate on tight ends.

Week 6 Wide Receiver and Tight End Starts and Sits

Wide Receiver Starts

Tetairoa McMillan vs. Dallas Cowboys

Tetaiora McMillan has been a WR2 in the first five games of his NFL career. He has the seventh most targets and has run the fifth most routes amongst all wide receivers. He just has not had that breakout game yet. That all changes in Week 6. The Dallas Cowboys are allowing 45 fantasy PPG to WRs. That is the most in the NFL. The Cowboys will be McMillan’s first game where he has 100 receiving yards and finally finishes as a WR1.

Marvin Harrison Jr. @ Indianapolis Colts

Marvin Harrison Jr finished as the WR22 last week. He had 98 yards and four receptions. He has had two consecutive games with double-digit fantasy points. In Week 3, he will have his third. The Arizona Cardinals face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. The Colts have been great thus far, but allow 38 fantasy PPG to WRs. That is the fifth most this season. Harrison is one of my favorite starts in Week 6.

Wide Receiver Sits

Stefon Diggs @ New Orleans Saints

Stefon Diggs has had great games in consecutive weeks. In Week 5, he finished as the WR4. He had faced his former team, the Buffalo Bills. I would lower expectations in Week 6. The New Orleans Saints are allowing the tenth-fewest fantasy PPG to the position. This is a Hunter Henry game and not a Diggs game for the passing weapons of the New England Patriots.

Ladd McConkey @ Miami Dolphins

Chase Brown, Brian Thomas Jr, and Ladd McConkey. Those three players were drafted in the first three rounds of fantasy football drafts. They all have been busts through five weeks. McConkey is the WR45 on a PPG basis. He did have a good Week 5 game and finished as the WR20. I still will leave him on the bench in Week 6. The Miami Dolphins cannot stop the run, but have been fairly good against the pass. They are currently allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy PPG to WRs.

Tight End Starts

Hunter Henry @ New Orleans Saints

As stated, it is a Hunter Henry game when the New England Patriots face the New Orleans Saints. Henry is currently the TE8 on a PPG basis. Yes, he had a bad game that amounted to just 6.6 fantasy points in Week 5. In Week 6, he gets a golden matchup. The Saints are allowing the sixth-most fantasy PPG to TEs.

Evan Engram @ New York Jets

Evan Engram was my darkhorse TE1 to start the season, but he got hurt. He came back and had a great game in Week 5. He finished as the TE12 and had a touchdown. Now, he faces the New York Jets. The Jets are allowing the ninth-most fantasy PPG to TEs and have given up five touchdowns to the position.

Tight End Sits

Dalton Kincaid @ Atlanta Falcons

Dalton Kincaid was one of my favorite starts in Week 5, but not in Week 6. The Atlanta Falcons are allowing the fewest PPG to the position. In fact, they are allowing just 4.23 fantasy PPG to TEs. Keep Kincaid far away from all your lineups this upcoming week.

Sam Laporta @ Kansas City Chiefs

Sam LaPorta has had just two TE1 finishes in five games this season. One of those came in Week 5, but he faces the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6. The Chiefs are allowing the third-fewest fantasy PPG to TEs. At 6.92 fantasy PPG, LaPorta is best to be left on your bench.
